We recently took a 2D-1N trip to the Colca Canyon with TERRA QUECHUA PERU following all the positive reviews here on TripAdvisor. It promises a more out of the ordinary experience and it delivered: transport, meals, accommodation, etc... all well organised.
The panoramic views from the viewpoints, such as Cruz del Condor, are simply breathtaking. The majestic flight of the condors, the largest birds of prey in the world, adds a special touch to the experience, making the visit a unique opportunity to appreciate the biodiversity of the region.
In short, the Colca Canyon is much more than a breathtaking landscape; it is a journey through history, culture and the majesty of nature, making every moment in this place unforgettable

We arranged a trip across Peru. The services and behavior of Johselm were great, we can only recommend. Authentic experiences, if operative adaptation to our needs and wishes was necessary... an approach that you would not have a chance to get in a group tour with a travel agency from the home country. We enjoyed it very much and will recommend it to our friends.

The Colca Canyon was fantastic!

BUT Peru Andes Tour operator booked via Find Local Trips wasn't so great. The whole day started at 3am and didnt finish till 7pm but only allowed us 40 minutes in the actual canyon!! The rest of the trip was filled with stops to traditional villages and areas to buy cultural gifts - which I usually like but very felt very staged for tourists/unauthentic.
The 1 hour spent in the hot springs was also very good.

I did the 1 day trip to Colca Canyon with Peru Andes. The scenery is amazing and definitely worth seeing. Our guide was also very nice, spoke perfect English, informative and kept us to time. However, there were a few issues which kind of spoiled the day. The first issue is I paid over twice the price of what others on the tour had paid. I booked online, they booked through their hostel which was considerably cheaper for the exact same experience. The bus was so uncomfortable. In the morning, it was freezing despite being given blankets. There was no leg room or space to store your bag or charge your phone. Considering how much time you spend on the bus it really should be comfortable. A lot of the stops are just to get you to spend money on souvenirs. The hot springs stop was a little disappointing as it was overcrowded. When I booked the drop off was meant to be back at your hotel - and was written as such on the confirmation email. However, drop off was a 25min walk from my accommodation which at the end of a long day isn’t ideal. I enjoyed seeing Colca Valley and Canyon and the condors but the day could have been a lot better.

Brilliant experience. We absolutely loved the Colca Canyon one of the highlights of our trip to Peru. Saw the Condors flying around. Loved the rugged terrain of the Colca Canyon. We stayed down at the Colca Lodge. Wonderful hotel.

This is an amazing area to see and drive through. We would have loved to take a hike here as well but our schedule did not allow for that. We did get to drive along the canyon though and the views were just stunning. It seemed as though everything was more beautiful at each turn. This place is very special and worth the time it takes to experience it. And of course you can see condors too.

With our guide Andrés Calcina from Peruvian Colca Trails we did a 3D/2N Colca Canyon trek. We thoroughly enjoyed the trail, landscapes, nature and accommodations. Andrés is an excellent guide, showing the beautiful spots along the trail and providing us with plentiful information about the Canyon and Peru in general. Always with a smile, he was the perfect company along the journey down and up through the canyon. Highly recommended!

Canyon is full of inca terraces. Hard to describe in words. Did a very long full day trip including condor sighting was well worth it.

I had a wonderful 3-day trip to the Colca Canyon with our guide Dalila. She knew a lot about the surroundings, medicinal plants and history of the Colca Canyon. She would always check if everyone was doing okay and had personal attention for all of us. Because I did the 3-day tour, there was plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The food included was very nice, especially the guacamole! I would highly recommend a tour with Dalila and Peru Andes!
