Markets are always a special place to go. Here you find almost anything and everything. Go upstairs to the food stalls and treat yourself to some local food. Explore the side streets around the market to see all kinds of stores, colors, vistas and smells

This has to be one of the best organized markets that we have been to. The market had aisles set up well with very large overhead signs designating the different sections which made it very easy to find what we were looking for. Several stalls...More

A perfect place for anytime of the day. Breakfast, snack breaks, a quick lunch, afternoon tea/juice....stock up fresh fruits and spices! You can find anything that you can imagine here with a reasonable price. and where to meet the lovely locals.

A touch of the local culture with 100s of stands selling meat, chicken, fruit, juices, souvenirs, clothes all cramped into a covered market place. Interesting to see all the colours and products, 2 blocks from Plaza de Armas.

Massive market filled with everything under the sun. There is also a corner which sells traditional medicines and witch market stuff like llama fetuses. A good place to eat some street food or natural juices.

On October 9 I visited the market with two friends. We bought typical Arequipa farmer hats and nice caps with cloth covering your ears and neck to prevent sunburns. We also bought alpaca sweaters for 10 dollars. Besides, had excellent pork sandwiches and Arequipa papaya...More
