My accomodation was close to it, and I wanted to have an undisturbed view over Misti. Unfortunately it wasn't really possible because the best places were occupied with stalls of touristy gift sellers. I believe however, that the place became too much attached to Misti and see only as a view point. The rest seems to be underrated, including the... More

walked over to see this from near the plaza de Armas, crossing the river provided a couple interesting shots with the volcanos in the background. I think the suggestion about visiting in the evening for the sunset is a good one, I may go back! Christmas time now, they have a manger scene made out of straw that was interesting... More

A very nice place to visit. You can see Arequipa's volcanos from here and take awesome pics. Went with my fiance and definitely enjoyed it :)

What a beautiful place to take pics at sunset. You can catch the colours in the sky between the arches perfectly. Always weddings here to watch in the street too if you are the romantic type

We found the view here very disappointing. I wouldn't say you have any greater view of el Misti from this point. Rather, I would recommend going to the Katharine arms hotel roof terrace for a drink and enjoy the view from there.

From this area you can see out over the city from an elevated lookout with beautiful views of the valley and Misti

Mirador with a beautiful view of the city of Arequipa (middle) and near the center / Plaza de Armas (20 minutes walking)

I agree with some previous reviewers that this is really a nice little lookout for a short while, but it has become a place for souvenir sellers! It is easy to be cynical though - it is a lovely lookout point over Arequipa, and when venturing out to the countryside it is a lovely stop. It is just sometimes packed... More

This lookout was a little less miraculous as we expected it would be but was a way to kill an hour or so while visiting Arequipa. It took about 25 minutes to walk from the Plaza de Armas, and after being there for 5 minutes, we felt as if we'd seen all there was to see there. If you do... More
