Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My husband and I did the Inca trail with Into Peru and it was amazing! It was physically challenging but so worth it. Breath taking landscapes and sites, great tour guides who were very patient and knowledgable, the food was surprisingly good, easy to book and very quick to answer to all our questions about what to pack, how to prepare, etc.

If you are thinking about doing the Inca Trail, book it! You won’t regret it. Thank you Into Peru for the unforgettable experience. We will never forget it.

Unfortunately I cant recommend IntoPeru due to come issues and inconsistencies that were experienced for my 4 day Inca Trail tour.

PRO's
- Knowledgeable tour guide and hard working porters/chef
- Food was amazing, with one exception (below)
- I believe the third party tour company did have more experience of this trek than some of the other groups (maybe)
- I think the way the third party structures the trek ensures the porters have the easiest run
- Of course the trek itself was amazing but you can get this with any tour company that does the Inca Trail

CON's
- IntoPeru contracts their tours out to third party companies (this is not disclosed anywhere)
- Communication between IntoPeru and the tour company is failing; my pre-briefing and request for sleeping bag & poles was somehow lost in comms
- I never had a pre-briefing due to mixed up comms about the meeting point and was left feeling very anxious and stressed about if I was even going on the tour until late the night prior
- There are many inconsistencies on the IntoPeru website vs what you get; No airport pick up on arrival, no hostel in AC, no hot shower at the last stop, 24hr support etc etc (IP did end up refunding me a small portion of the cost to compensate, but I had chosen this company over others due to some of these inclusions)
- The third party tour company's equipment was getting old and worn, especially compared to the other tour groups
- The porter/chef tipping experience was a little awkward and as I hadnt had my pre-briefing I was not aware that the tip was $20USD PER PORTER(6) and $30USD+ for the chef (Split between the group)

Overall if I had my time again I unfortunately would not book through IP, I would go with one of the bigger companies.

My experience was excellent. Our driver was on time, we got to go paragliding in beautiful scenery, and we felt very safe in the hands of very experienced pilots. Would recommend to a friend, had an amazing time. Sent us the GoPro footage which was very easy to access. Would definitely go again!

Trekking the Inca trail for 4 days was not easy, but it was absolutely worth it. It was spiritually, mentally and emotionally fulfilling beyond words. Thank you to the amazing staff, porters and guides, without them this experience wouldn't have been possible. Thank you Into Peru!!

Very memorable trip! Started early with a long drive but caught up on some sleep. The guide was great. Palccoyo is beautiful and incredibly quiet. Very impressed with the service and enjoyed the buffet lunch! 100% recommended, especially going private.

An excellent day trip which ran like clockwork. We had a spare day in Cusco and booked a last minute trip to the rainbow mountains. Into peru has good reviews and we saw why. Our private car was waiting for us outside our hotel and our guide and driver were great.

The rainbow mountains are a special sight to behold. It is at a real altitude and took some pauses to get round but we made it and were so glad we did.

Thank you for a great visit.

If you do not have time or finding challenging to hike Rainbow Mountain, you can try Palccoyo. And if you have decided to try Palccoyo, you MUST JOIN this tour!

I did this with my hubby. We have a super friendly, caring, helpful, informative and patience guide, AMERICO!

He has been so thoughtful throughout the trip. He kept reminding me to walk slowly, and take rest to avoid altitude sickness. At the last part of the hike after rainbow mountain, I wanted to give it a try to the "Stone Mountain" next to it. Honestly, for seasoned hikers or any casual hikers, it is nothing but I have fear of heights. My guide was so patience, holding my hand, guiding me every single step up and down. He is really amazing!

The whole tour experience was amazing including the drive journey and lunch! I will give 101% score!

Normally I wait until I’m home to write a review, but I didn’t feel this on could wait. First, I organized this with a woman named Patricia who was fantastic. She was thoughtful, helpful and extremely responsive. The day before our day trip I heard from Alex. He is the reason I am writing this only a few hours after my trip ended. Supposedly my children checked the vehicle for their belongings, but one left his iPhone behind. We were notified by Alex after Darwin (our awesome driver) found it. Alex drove to our hotel to return it to us. I have no doubt he had to drive a ways to do this and I am so grateful. Regarding the trip itself…amazing. Absolutely stunning and so incredibly worth it. My advice is to acclimate as much as you can (we were only in Cusco about 36 hours prior) and then drink water every 5-10 steps. If you feel a slight headache, drink water. My kids made it to a great viewpoint of the first mountain. Darwin took them back down and looked after them. My husband saw all the mountains but opted out of the final push. Our guide, Americo, and I made it to the rock forest. It was awesome. It felt like their were rainbow mountains everywhere. Walking down was so easy. Americo cheered me on every step of the way. I HIGHLY recommend this group.

I reached out to Into-Peru for help coordinating 3 days of activities while in Cusco.
Patricia, with Into Peru, handled everything for our desired activities. They included a full day Machu Picchu tour, Sacred Valley/Ollantaytambo/Chinchero tour, and an ATV tour to Moray, followed by the Maras Salt Mines.
Into Peru communicated with the local guides and drivers, who in turn communicated with me. Into Peru made our trip easy, so we could focus on the adventure! With Into Peru I didn't have to stress about making sure I had the correct tickets for the transportation and entry into the various places. 10/10!
