Beautiful by night

The lighted cathedral and main plaza is crowned by the twinkling lights of the suburbs on the surrounding hills. A definite must see in Cuzco

Plaza de Armas is very nice, but it's impossible to walk here (even at night) because of street vendors. Plaza de Armas is full of them and they are trying to sell you everything - from glasses to peruvian caps and other stuff. You can't relax there

See the architecture, note the traditional costumes. Friendly people, plenty of cafes and restaurants

Had I known how much Cusco had to offer, we would have booked our trip there for more than 1 day passing through. It was so beautiful and so rich in history. The Centro Historico De Cusco is unlike anything I have ever visited before. I would recommend seeing it with a tour guide. Otherwise, we would not have learned... More

Highly recommended to spend one entire day! There are too many places to eat and to shop Peruvian handcrafts.

I enjoyed spending a few hours roaming around the center. Going from one shop to the other, it sucks that' Peruvians look at tourists like they were walking dollar signs but I guess you get used to it.

We had a guided tour of the historic centre of Cuzco (note spelling taught by Quechua-speaking guide) and loved it. Our guide was excellent and lively on the subject, as well as being extremely knowledgeable. This is a fascinating city, despite all the tourists, and we learned a lot about the history of Peru and the Spanish invaders - brutal.... More

Just walking around this area observing the people and sights is enough, but there are multiple churches, shops, and museums you won't want to miss

Nice, safe place to hang out - lots of stores around it, including massage places with really good massages - not sketchy - even though they look a bit sketchy at first, since they are everywhere.

We spent much of our time in the Cusco square. An amazing place to sit off in the sun, great food (including our fave organika) best place to people watch.
