Clean and pretty easy going

Train trips can so often be dirty and old but there was none of that feeling on these trains. Snack was a nice touch but it was the views that really made the trip.

Took this train to Machu Picchu as there was no alternative. It was very epensive and we would have had to consider walking the 30 odd kilometres were we not availing of a 2for1 promotion on their website. The website is reasonably well laid out, at first it may be unclear which number train you need but there is a... More

Clean, comfortable carriages. Reserved seating. Complimentary snacks. Helpful staff, well-organised. We took the cheapest option and it was great. Highly recommend.

The booking process is a bit more confusing than it needs to be. There are almost too many different options and it is tough to really make the appropriate selection for yourself. There are also lots of changes that they make seasonally that you must be aware of. A huge plus was the service personnel. On the train, the people... More

Train rides were always on schedule, so that's a big plus. Wagons were comfortable and clean which were very important because the trip from Cusco to Aguas Calientes and back is about 4 hours. It's a subtle trip and view was amazing. Snacks & drinks were served, too. Every aspect of our trip had gone smoothly, and a good train... More

This was the far more expensive trip we did in Peru, and only because of time limit. Was it worth it? I'd say yes. The landscape you pass trought is just amazing. And the train is really confortable, their service is good and professional, the seats comfy, the timing accurate. I'm really sorry however that it is such monopoly that... More

We traveled from Pachar to Aguas Calientes on January 20 and back again on 21 with Peru Rail - Expedition. We can only recommend the Expedition Train. The wagons are clean, comfortable and light with windows in sides and roof which gives a tramendous view to the very dramatic and beautiful landscape. On board the train we especially will mention... This rail was very clean and the atmosphere was light and fun! The complimentary beverages were what would be expected coffee tea and a small cookie of some sort. the journey is long and it was nice to have them explain the sites along the way.
