My daughter and I completed the 4d/3n hike on the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. It is a fantastic adventure, the challenge of the trail is constantly rewarded by breathtaking views. Our guide Eberh was great, his patient, knowledge, and skills made four tough days of hiking a joy.We were a small group of five who bonded immediately, sharing our daily... Recently completed a 4 day hike up the Inca Trail- the most amazing scenery along the way, beautiful views of the mountains. You also see several Inca Ruins along the trail- many of which you are able to explore along the way - An unforgettable trip .

Considering I am not one of the fittest person nor do I regularly exercise, it was not difficult but it was not relaxing either. Once you are up there, the views are just spectacular. The secret I believe is the guide that you get and ours was motivating, caring and thoughtful all the time. Challenge yourself! Just do it

One of my top holidays by far, and we've travelled a lot. I've never camped or done a group tour. This was amazing! We had 9 days in total but it felt so much longer as we packed in each day. Train! I can run a 5k daily no problem and consider myself fit. This was really tough on the... More

Wayki Trek made this experience as memorable as possible with outstanding customer service. The trail itself is a great adventure. Don't kid yourself, this is a tough hall, but definitely doable. 500 people a day start the trail so it is well traveled and a bit stinky in spots. Great scenery and challenging terrain. Bring light gear and be prepared... More

A trip of a life time. Not moderate activity. You need to be in shape and eat well before this trip and you will have an amazing time.

The Inka Trail is a 3 night/4 day trek. You go through many different terrains. It is challenging. There are parts where you are going up stairs for 3-4 hours straight. My fitbit said I averaged 150 flights of stairs a day. I also walked about 17-20000 steps a day. The hardest part for me was going down steps for... More

There are a number of options for hiking the Inca Trail (I'm fairly certain they all end at Machu Picchu), and you must book your access through a Peruvian travel guide; the regulations protecting the region require that a certified travel company escort all travelers. My frame of reference for this hike was the Adirondack High Peaks region in New... More

My husband, son and I hiked the classic 4 day Inca trail trek in October this year. It was everything I had imagined and more! The scenery is spectacular, the food divine (we booked with SAS) the guides were awesome and the many beautiful hummingbirds we saw were unexpected (never read anything about that). This is the best way to... More
