I have never visited anywhere so rich in history before. It was so beautiful and after learning more about it I appreciated it more. I would definitely recommend a tour guide to show you the sites of Cusco.

I personally was amaze about the cathedral, it was over my expectations, there is no way you can miss this place!! You have to pay to enter like around $30 Peruvian soles but is worth.

Probably one of the nicest and oldest Basilicas in Peru. This Cathedral is huge and full of art and artifacts. Comes with Catacombs and tons of history. You'll want to give yourself about 2 hours to see this attraction. This definitely is a must see in Cusco

Not by a "must see", but an interesting comparison with the Catholic cathedrals of Europe. Many similarities, and local variations.

The effort involved in the carvings and paintings is amazing. The amount of gold leaf, the colors are all terrific. Very worthwhile.

This isn't a huge cathedral, but it is interesting. There is an entrance fee if you're not going to mass. Be sure not to miss the painting of the Last Supper in the chapel in the far right-hand corner where Jesus is serving a roasted guinea pig (the national dish of Peru) to his disciples.

Cusco's cathedral is so much more important than Lima's. You really learn how important Cusco was to the Spaniards in their quest to convert the Inkas to Catholicism. The architecture and the art are fascinating, especially if you are in the hands of a knowledgeable guide. Highly recommended.

The Cathedral holds many interesting artifacts, beautiful paintings and works from over the centuries. Obtain the language guide and headphones as part of your admission. Also consider getting the 4 church destination and it allows additional sites and the organization can use your support. Not a bad place to be, especially when it gets hot outside.
