Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews

Mr. Anibal Paredes picked us up at our Hotel on time. The bikes were ideal and he helped us with the technical settings. We stopped at a food market, where we tried a typical Peruvian snack, at an olive Plantage and at a big archeological sight. At last we had a coffee and a cake in a Café with great view over the ocean. During the tour Anibal told us different stories and facts of the old Peruvian culture. Anibal is very intellectual and we realised that he is very interested in the history of Peru. The tour is absolutely worthwhile, not difficult at all and we can definitely recommend it.

Due to a motor and train strike my boyfriend and I couldn’t get out of Urubamba to see any of the local sites in the Sacred Valley. We spent the morning desperately calling tour companies to see if we could rent bicycles and ride the 15 miles to Ollantaytambo as no tours were running due to the protests and road blocks.

Through Peru Cycling we got hooked up with the local bike company in Urubamba and got the most excellent service. This will be one of our most memorable days and it’s all due to Peru Cycling that we didn’t lose a day of adventure and touring. I highly recommend this company for activities as you will get personalized and compassionate service. The strike could have ruined our trip but instead we made the most of our day!

Easy to contact via WhatsApp which was huge in getting this arranged despite the very last minute plan!

This tour way exceeded our expectations. Anibal did such a great job of combining beautiful scenery, with interesting history, sites, rest stops for talking, and a variety of riding areas. We rode on the nice promenade in Miraflores, the bike path through the city, quiet streets, and even busier streets. It was the perfect mix of relaxing, stimulating, and adventure! We learned and saw so much of Lima that we would not have experienced on our own. We stopped to have lunch in a Chifa; the food was delicious. Anibal is passionate about his country & history which makes for a very delightful day. We would highly recommend this tour for those who are experienced with bikes and up for a full day. We hope to make it back to Peru and do another longer tour with Peru cycling in the Cusco area - they do overnight tours as well. We arrived via cruise ship at Salaverry/ El Callao port, it is an industrial port, Anibal picked us up outside the port where the complimentary shuttle dropped us off.

Bikes are good. The tour explanation and contextualisation was very poor. There were random stops, with information that felt improvised/ not well prepared.
There is a lot to improve in the content.
Also the route was not that attractive, we passed many times through very busy car dominated roads, lots of pollution, lots of claxoning,
Not relaxing, not very informative, not very inspiring. We didn't see the best of Lima in this bike tour.
The price $40 p.p. (group of 8 people) was to high considering the quality.

I very much enjoyed a day of cycling with Anibal and Gino up the river valley to Antioquia. Spectacular views, great exercise and fantastic service. Anibal picked us up from our hotal and drove the support vehicle, stopping every few kilometres to make sure we were OK and sufficiently well watered and fed. Gino cycled with us, ensuring there were no problems on the ride. A great way to spend a day in Lima. It was so nice to get out of the city, see the countryside and get some exercise. I will book again with Peru Cycling next time I’m in the country!

Dear Dan and Michael, thanks a lot for your comments. We are pleased to hear you are happy and satisfied with the Antioquía bike tour and our service. You guys did a great ride, this is not an easy route but a phisically demanding one. We did our best and reached our goal: your satisfaction. Hope to see you again some day for another adventure biking trip. Kind regards. Aníbal and Gino Peru Cycling PS. See the pictures of the ride on our Facebook page

If there had been a 6 rating instead of 5 I would have clicked that. My partner and i had only 2 days and Anibal put together a fantastic route on a long cross desert ride across some of the most amazing desert valleys and escarpments - some on tracks and some more or less point and ride. Trusty Land Rover with water and food all the way. Down a long long desert escarpment to a very tiny old style fishing village called Laguna Grande. Camped the night with tents, simple barbecue and red Peruvian wine with blazing stars to complete the scene. Next day we decided we wanted to see more and ride less so we cross countried in the Land Rover (classic old model) with so many superb 'desert meets incredibly beautiful bay' scenes that we had to ban the camera or we'd still be there. Late lunch at little beach restaurant with great food and cold beer - almost back to some form of civilisation. Anibal and his little team are totally flexible for hard riders or easy cruisers and really go the extra mile to be sure their clients have maximum fun. He has a great knowledge of the desert environment and also the Inca and other cultures. For my partner and I this was a lot of fun and we have a bunch of great memories as well as way too many photos.

Dear Rob and Joanne. Thanks so much for your comments. We are very happy because you are 100% satisfied with our service and also because we had the opportunity to show you one of the most beautiful parts of our country. You are one of the very few people on Earth that have lived the Paracas National Park Trans Desert Bike Tour experience. We also keep beautiful memories of the ride with you. Your satisfaction is our satisfaction, and that is what we are focused about: your enjoyment and living an unforgettable experience. Wish you all the best and hope to see you again in another epic ride with us. God bless you. Anibal, Luz and Rafael Peru Cycling

Perucycling.com with Anibal and Dan was a fantastic experience. They picked us up at our hotel, drove us around Lima traffic jams through unique landscape and mountainside dwellings to get to Pachacamac Valley. We rode bikes on back roads to a private boarding school behind which were ruins that we could explore. Then we finished the ride to Pachacamac where we had a delicious local lunch. We got entry to the Pachacamac site, toured the museum, and drove and walked around the site. Anibal and Dan were terrific hosts. We learned and saw so much. We highly recommend this tour.

Had a Nice bike tour through Lima on a sunday which we would recommend because the streets are car free in the morning! The bikes were good and the guide was knowledgeable.

I had an amazing bike trip from Ica to Paracas (the trans-desert tour on their site) thanks Anibal and his awesome team. I was happy to find a tour company that operated such a trip, and they did it exceptionally well.

I really cannot say enough great things about Peru Cycling - they took care of every detail, and were prepared for every eventuality. As a resident of Peru, I am already back on their site and thinking about the next trip to do together :-)

Thanks a lot John for your comments about us. Our focus is your satisfaction. I think we are doing things right to provide the best possible adventure cycling tours experiences in Peru. You are one of the very few persons that have done this unique route operated only by Peru Cycling: The Paracas Trans Desert Bike Tour. Hope to see you again soon. Kind regards. Aníbal.

Peru Cycling gave me the most memorable, educational and enlightening bike ride I have ever experienced. Their Lima City bike tour has been carefully and meticulously studied, researched, and planned resulting in probably the most unique tourist experience one can possibly have in Lima. They know what their clients need, not just what they want, and they are able to uncannily tailor your package at your own level of expertise and skills.

Never hesitate to engage Anibal for you are in good hands, probably better than any other tour provider can take care of you. More importantly, they do this with a passion to share the true Peruvian culture to every client and they would always accommodate you as conditions will permt.

Anibal's team will also take extra steps to ensure that your biking experience in Peru will be worth every cent you give them, probably more than you can expect
