Gabriela welcomed us into her space with a genuine desire to share her vision and the work of the featured artists. The space itself was striking both inside and out but it was, however, the content within and the concept that truly made this visit an unforgettable experience.

She has taken on the social responsibility of sharing various mediums of Art with the public, especially those within the surrounding neighborhood. Chatting over coffee added an intimate charm to the visit and I strongly recommend you journey to Chorillos to experience Galeria DelBarrio for yourself. A must see in Lima! Thank you Gabriela and Tailored Tours Peru !

This beautiful gallery is the best place to buy and admire art by local artists--the owner is gracious and absolutely knowledgeable of what she shows and sell. Prices are very reasonable... and you can then stroll the boardwalk overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Stunning gallery in Lima. It's such a breath of fresh air to see real contemporary art after all the crafts you can easily buy on the street. The gallery has a beautiful nurturing love for Peruvian art and is a driving force in its future success. The gallery looks at peru's past and connects it with the modern day. I encourage anyone to have a chat to the owner as she is truly remarkable in watch she has created and how she is changing minds through the art she has displayed.

This isn't a souvenir shop or even a spot for fancy artisanal craftwork -- it's an actual art gallery, and on my visit it had more interesting work than the contemporary art I saw in Lima's actual museums. The owner Gabriela Tineo was smart and friendly, telling me lots about the work she had when I expressed curiosity. For art-buff travelers, it's well worth the short cab ride from Miraflores/Barranco; for more casual art fans, it's a great add-on to a visit to the nearby Playa Pescadores. Go see the fishermen and pelicans (and eat ceviche if the dicey sanitation doesn't scare you), then make the easy uphill climb to Chorrillos. The neighborhood itself is worth exploring, muuuch less touristy than its neighbors to the north.

Based on the reviews of others and my love of crafts, I tried to visit this gallery yesterday afternoon. It appears that it has been closed for a while with a pile of dead leaves in front of the step. The guide at the end of the block confirmed that the gallery was closed and added that he did not know "el motivo" the reason way. However, the afternoon was not a total waste, had a delicious lunch at El Hornea and walked on the malecon.

Galeria Delbarrio is an art gallery in Chorillos, just a minute walk from the oceanfront. Contrary to the many galleries right next door in Barranco, one of Lima's most touristic areas, the Galeria Delbarrio has a very personal feel to it. The lovely owners Gabriela and Jaime really know how to bring together some of Lima's finest artist and yet make you feel at home in their cozy, colorful gallery. They will welcome you like a friend and introduce you to Lima's outstanding pop art. It is an authentic place with authentic people, one of Lima's best kept secrets and little known highlights! If you can, visit for an inauguration party, which takes place once a month on Thursday night.

La GalerĂa del Barrio is a very special place to visit in a very special area in Lima.
The director Gabriela Tineo not only has a great attitude to greet visitors at the gallery, but more important she is dedicated and committed to promote and help local artists.
La GalerĂa del Barrio is a great place to pick presents due the unique kind of items that they have.
