I expected this place to have a fully functioning library however I was disappointed not to find one. Despite this, the place is incredibly well designed and is very modern. It features a number of small museum-exhibits and art works.

Located behind the Presidential Palace in the historic center, the building was originally Lima's main train station (Estacion de Desamparados). Opened in 1912, the train station was a symbol of the ‘new’ Lima at a time when the city was being modernized for the 20th...More

Just loved this place. What good use of the old station! It has the most beautiful stained glass roof I have seen. Lovely art work on display and just an aesthetically pleasing building. Pity there are no longer trains!

It's nice to see the honoring of one's literary greats in a museum. The Nobel prize winner, Mario Vargas Llosa gets pride of place along with a about a dozen others. This used to be the old railway station of Lima.
