at first visualisation it is difficult to spot the condors head. once you look carefully the structure is 3 dimensional. with beautiful wings hanging up and the head nearly submerged in the ground below your feet

This temple is located on the lower land of the left side of the city if you are facing Wayma Picchu. It is quite secluded from the main ruins

The temple is great indeed. Well designed and preserved. TAKE a guide otherwise it will be a well shaped rock. So interesting details to be explained.

The wings of the "condor" are formed by two huge boulders that are natural to the site. This is one of the nicer temples in Machu Picchu.

You could walk past this and not notice this without a guide so I would suggest that you get a guide as I would not have been able to work out that it was a condor

Went with a guide who showed me a picture of this. I then got to look at the real thing. The Inca’s were amazing.

When you first approach the Temple of Condor the head and neck band are easily identifiable up close but if you can not see the wings stand back a little ways. This will give you a "wide" angle lens to then also see the wingspan....More
