On your waynapicchu hike, the trail branch allows you to go to Moon Temple/Great Cavern. It doesn't tell you how far it is, which is the problem. It is 1hr to 1hr 30mins to get to the temple. It is almost all downhill along stairs,...More

We were advised by our guide at MP to take the path "down the back side of HP" to the temple. After climbing HP in 45 minutes, we decided to try it. Wow, it was not really "down" the back side. It was down and...More

This is a little bit less spectacular than Machu Picchu, but it is worth to visit . Try to include it as part of your tour when you visit the Sacred Valley. You will have to walk a little bit but you will enjoy it.

After climbing Wayna Pichu, you can follow the path and go to this temple, the path has steps on some parts and is a bit steep. I demands around 1 hour more. Is really quiet there, not a lot of people go. If you have...More

Is it possible to avoid the "death stairs" returning from the Huayna Picchu summit by taking the lower trail around the base of the mountain to the Great Cavern and Moon Temple and then turn around and descend? Pros or cons?
