A marvel of classical civil engineering. Probably the loveliest place in the world for a stroll. 16 kilometers of continuous undisturbed wide sidewalk by the river plate which looks like a sea but feels like a river. Worth the trip to Montevideo just for this...More

Amazing to place to chill by the river. Definitely a must when you are visiting Montevideo. People go there at anytime of the day and even go for drinks by nightime. Safe enough

You can walk for several kilometers, and enjoy the riverside. You will find also places to rest, drink and or eat. In the summer you also could enjoy the beach.

A delightful stroll on this forever beach walk is a must do. The place is full of action from going by soccer games, restaurants, sun seekers on the beach, lazy day picnics.

This is the best waterfront, it just goes forever and the vibe is great, people are jogging, walking and just sitting around drinking Mate, its a great atmosphere. There is plenty to do, you have the restaurants, shopping and Parque Rodo.

It is a good place to run and do some excersice in the mornings. People use it also to ride a bike and for roler skate. You can see people there drinking mate and talking when the sun goes down.

The Rambla spans almost the entire coast of Montevideo. It’s very pretty and is a great way to people watch and get a good view of the city. We walked for hours and could have kept on going!

La Rambla runs from immediately outside the port and stretches for miles. I'm not sure about sea glass but there are lots of entry points onto the shore and beaches that you explore. Happy travels :-)

Sorry, no idea. I recall seeing several membership type gyms. Perhaps a Google search and inquire if day passes are available. There are many public parks with facilities of various descriptions, though I don't... More

Looks like I'm missed you so you might have gone already. It would be quite a walk from the port to the Rambla, but you could. Maybe about 25 minutes. It's very safe during the day though. Great town.
