We were looking for things to do in the city when the girl at the tourist information desk suggested this. I have to admit I didn't enjoy the ride up in the lift! If you also don't like heights, you won't enjoy it either! The lift is made of glass and you just keep going higher and higher. I felt... More

Montevideo is a very flat city. From the Mirador, you can view almost every importante place in the town. The buildings are identified by a picture right in front of it but the picture is too old, with a very low resolution and sometimes it is a little bit hard to find the buildings or places. Also the protective windows... More

You can see all the city from here. I just didn't get some placards because there seemed to be more interesting sights to know about than some info there. Very wind, watch your hats and alikes. Creepy elevator but nice chills!

Great view of the entire city. Absolutely worth visiting! Just remember to take the tickets on the touristic info before going up. The logistics of where the ticket counter is and the door to take you to the elevator could be simpler.

Stumbled upon this whilst visiting the tourist information Center out the front of the building. They will give you a free ticket to the top and direct you to the entrance. The glass elevator going up is great and once at the top you have some really good views of Montevideo. Great little placards with English translations that describe and... More

You have a panoramic elevator that provides you with a cinematic view of the city as you go up 25 floors. There, not only you have full view of the entire city, but also cultural cards that give you the background to some of the major buildings you can see from up there. It has glass walls on the sides... More

Nice place to visit in the beginning of the trip as it will help you to understand the city. That is it.

Loved how there were signs up on all sides identifying the buildings you were seeing. This was a great introduction to the city. You have to go to the tourist tent in front of the building first in order to get the free ticket, and then they direct you to the entrance in the tunnel.

Its easy to get there by bus. Its free to go up in the panoramic elevator. You'll have a nice overview of the city and the river. Its worth the visit at least once.

You can see almost all Montevideo, has a glass elevator that you can see the way to the top. Be careful with the wind.. it's very strong and if you're wearing cap you can lose...
