You have to go to the ferry terminal if you're heading over to Moorea - the fast ferry Aremiti 5 takes 1/2 and hour and I put my rental car on it to go and tour around Moorea for a day which was great. The...More

We used the ferry to get back and forth between Papeete and Moorea on a recent vacation. We purchased tickets online and the whole luggage drop-off/boarding process was quite easy. We were there during the off-season but I can't imagine the boats ever getting full...they're...More

My husband and I had a very narrow window to catch the last ferry into Mo'orea. The crew at Aremiti were kind enough to take our bags in advance so we could board right away after an excursion. The ferrys left on time, and the...More

Ferry runs several times each day and is very popular with the locals and tourists. There is a passenger ferry (takes motorcycles) and a larger ferry that also takes cars. Ferry is "high speed" (about 20 knots I guess), and can rock a little with...More

Have caught this ferry a number of times. Always been on time and plenty of different sailings to choose from. Booking at the terminal is easy and staff friendly. Ferries we have been on have always been clean. They have food and drinks available on...More

Super basic, high volume, long line to buy tickets, inadequate cafeteria, cramped seats with no way to secure suitcases in rolling seas. Kind of third world except it was run roughly on time. The Tahiti Govt prevents (apparently) services after 5pm so if your international...More

Very kind staff at the ticket office! The on-/off boarding is well organized. There are also some guys who are looking for big luggage. The price is very good (1.500 XPF for one person one way). The departure and the arrival was exactly in time.

There's shuttle services you can book. Most have vans and about 10 unrelated passengers that pay for seats..... Or you can take a cab(expensive). We were lucky and our AirBNB host picked us up.
