Very pleasant well put together small painting and sculpture exhibits. Well worth a visit with Albanian artists, Socialist realism, and Stalin and Lenin out back.

... it's pretty darn nice. The highlight of the collection are paintings from the socialist realist period of the Communist regime, and the museum has some nice items. If this is your cup of tea, no better place in the region to see this style....More

This is a hidden gem. Some very lovely pieces of art from Bulgarian painters that I had never heard of and am so glad that I do now. Many pieces to view throughout. Spend a couple of hours here. No regrets!

we enjoy seeing the work of artists in each country we visit. there is some interesting work in this gallery.
Strong men and heroic women, all happy to be working for the state. Big chests, large heads, lots of muscles. The women are studying blueprints and obviously empowered. It's period Soviet art like you may never have seen. Worth a visit but not long.
