This is an ok place. Just another site to see when you visit. Just another part of Tirana. But there is other things to see and do around the square.

The government has grand plans for this central square. I reckon their plans if put into action correctly will make it a wonderful place to sit and kill time. Although how long construction will take, who knows, after all it is Albanian time. At this moment in time it is a full of construction activity, dust and noise. However, having... More

This is the monument in Albania that represents the greatest medieval hero of the known history of the region.

Eventually it will be a masterpiece. As the work is carried out, the planning pictorials that fully encompass the Square currently, will become evident.Bit of a nightmare at the moment.

The heart of Tirana, a heaving, teeming mass of honking mayhem. The traffic roars and trundles by as the Ethem Bey Mosque, the Skenderbeg Statue and the National Museum tower over the square. It's vibrant, it's lively, it's beautiful. Loved the place, couldn't help but keep gravitating back towards it.

As others have pointed out, as of September 2016, the Skanderberg Square is under major renovation and I do not know when the work will be completed. When done though, it should really be magnificent a real gem as I said. There are excellent sights right around the square, the National Museum, main mosque, and several other unusual government buildings... More

The square surrounding is beautiful! Very nicely decorated buildings. The problem is to me is that the huge garden on the middle is 100% empty...You have an emptiness feeling...

The square is being renovated at the moment but i'm sure when it is finished it will be great, It is to be made more modern and friendly towards families.

Very nice square with different attractions nearby. Currently under construction works, but still a nice place. Also nice at night.

The government has big plans for this large central square. Some day it may be stunning - for the moment it is a hive of construction activity, dust and noise.
