- Mehmet Savaş inMarmaris, Türkiye53 contributionsTirana lake and hiking trailSince it was close to the city center (Skenderbej Square), we walked in 10 minutes. The lake is immediately on the left side of the Air Albenia Stadium. It is a clean, quiet place where you can find walking tracks. There are two or three cafes. After walking, you take photos. Finally, on our return, we came to the city center by public buses. We paid 40 lek per person.Visited February 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 7 February 2024

- bumblelion04New Romney, United Kingdom4 contributionsMust have place to visit, Calm in the heart of the city!Loved it ! Stunning park with lots of little bars and snack places to stop and enjoy the sunshine and peace. We took the little train around the lake, it was 250 lek each but lasted about 25 mins and was a lovely way to see the park without having to walk all the way around. Would recommend to anyone visiting the city. Full of locals making use of the beautiful space too.Visited April 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 5 May 2024
- sauro-aleLivorno, Italy1,851 contributionsBeautifulBeautiful park a little off the tourist itineraries of the city. Clean, very well maintained, it offers public spaces available to citizens of all ages. Beautiful example of what a place to walk, relax or do physical activity should be. On the artificial lake there are numerous nice places to stop and drink or eat. In the park there is also an open-air theater.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 16 May 2024

- Catherine GNice, France2,135 contributionsA well-appointed parkWe walked in this large park in the city center of the capital. There is an artificial lake lined with restaurant bars around it and equipped with deck chairs which invite you to rest and have a peaceful moment. There is a corner where many restaurants offering local specialties are grouped together. The park is large and free. Very pleasant during the first heat to find freshnessVisited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 June 2024

Lots of good landscaping, nice places to stroll and pleasant neighborhoods on either side of the water. Take a long walk.Visited November 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 27 December 2024

A well planned, planted and managed city park which is central to office & residential areas for families, couples and everyone who enjoys relaxing outdoors. Mature trees blend with pro-active new planting to ensure the walking trails continue to provide a sense of peacefulness within an active capital city. The man-made lake enhances visual charm.

Tirana lacks green spaces, as much unplanned building occured over decades leaving no or scarce place for greenery.
This big park is just south from the trendy Bllocku district with its bars and restaurants. It's a peacefull oasis with many walking/jogging paths around the man made lake in the middle. Nice place to relax.

I visit this lovely park every weekend to go walking. It’s a bit of a cliche but it really is an oasis in the city, somewhere to escape all traffic and hustle and bustle of Tirana. It’s very popular with walkers, runners, cyclists and people who just want to chill out. There are numerous paths and jogging trails plus plenty of cafes. If you want to walk around the lake it will take you approximately 40 minutes. The park is well maintained, I seldom see any litter. A lovely, lovely place.

*Boom boom.. Lovely park sadly spoilt by *boom boom the incessant noise from either the locals in a car picnicking *boom boom by the lake or a cafe with its music *boom boom system cranked up playing awful nightclub music in *boom boom the middle of the day.
This park should be a jewel of Tirana cared for *boom boom by the city for the benefit of *boom boom the people.
Sadly not the case. The lovely people here deserve better.

It's a very large park with a large lake with trails around the lake. The park itself is wooded with trails throughout the park, plenty of benches for a good rest, children's playgrounds, indoor and outdoor football fields, a Holocaust memorial, statues, and cafes. The park meets my criteria of being a fantastic park!

This is a large area of green space located a little away from the city centre, about 20-25 minutes walk from the Skanderbeg square. The biggest park in Tirana is huge to explore with plenty of entertainment facilities available and also houses cafes / restaurants, churches, ampitheatre, water sports etc. The highlight of our tour was riding the toy train called "City Train Albania" which covered circling the entire park in an entertaining 30 minutes ride.

The Grand Park of Tirana surprised me, it has so many amenities, it really is a great place to beat the heat of the city and take some time to rejuvenate.
There’s a lake, various sports facilities, running lanes, walking trails, free WIFI, a theatre, and restaurants. There’s water fountains, cooling stations and plenty of shaded areas and places to sit. There’s even a designated party zone!
I could have easily spent all day here!

A huge park on the outskirts of Tirana, a city where there are few green spaces. On the plus side it is tranquil and relaxing. On the downside there is little to see, the park does not seem particularly pretty and the signposting is very poor. We would like to have taken the little train for a ride around the park but could not find where we could catch it from. Also we had hoped we could take out a rowing boat on the lake, but no such facility exists. In fairness, we were there on a very hot day and we only saw a relatively small section of the park but did not come across any particularly nice looking bars or anywhere one could enjoy a lunchtime meal. A rather disappointing experience.

We did a full circumnavigation of the Grand Park & lake this afternoon. Beautiful green space in Tirana city centre, showcasing oodles of wildlife, we saw geese, ducks, moor hens and even. Kingfisher. This place is a real credit to the Tirana city council, it’s clean, well laid out, and has plenty to do for the whole family.
Highly recommend.

Green lung a few steps from the city center.
Partially visited (since it is quite large) on foot.
With the bicycle it is easier to get around it all.
In the center it also has an artificial lake; on the sides there are several green paths with refreshment points and benches.
