We climbed to the top of the pyramid with a three year old and enjoyed the views across Tirana. The city is surrounded by mountains which adds mystic. Once ypu descend there is'nt anything else to do. Inside the pyramid is mainly commercial offices.

The pyramid has been completely refurbished and bears very little resemblance to the original version. I understand it has been under construction for quite a while but is now completed. Get up it and complete that work out. The view is worthwhile. Also so is a trip up the Sky Tower.

This building I believe lay derelict for many years with views divided over redevelopment of demolition. Thankfully the former was undertaken. Interesting structures now inside and around the grounds. Superb views from the top which make the climb up the steps worthwhile.

I don't know whether the be sad not to have seen it in its original form or grateful that it is now a modern, welcoming space... No longer being a reckless teenager, the thought of climbing the sides in their original form and returning home to the UK on crutches was, if i'm honest filling me with more than a little bit of dread! The new stairs make it so much easier but do seem to have taken a few liberties with the original design. Inside is still not fully open to explore but there are now loads of cafe's around it and the park has been completely revamped as well so its actually a nice space to sit and enjoy a coffee too. You can still see some of the remaining original features if you look closely enough as well. Worth noting if you head round the inside edge is that there are public toilets - clean and free, if not the biggest in size.
