I would recommend having a tour guide with you because there is so much to see, but not much in the way of context. It's quite difficult to find your way around too, the good stuff is in the back but if you don't know...More

It's your classic European and western national art gallery and worth a visit. I spent about three hours inspecting an exhibition on the history and impact of horses on Belarussian society and took in other displays including a rich display of religious art works. After...More

Spent a few hours here, but could have stayed longer if I had time. Loved both the Belarusian art and the Russian paintings, where of course some where more interesting than others. I specially liked the sketches of Napoleon Orda and Viktor Vasnetsov's portrait of...More

One of the best, most extensive art museums I have ever visited. There were many exhibitions on when I was there and they seem to rotate quite frequently. Brought the work of Ivan Aivazovsky and Chingiz Aitmatov to my attention - two big pluses. I...More

This is a well-curated museum, with excellent explanatory signage in several languages, including English. We were especially interested in an exhibit of Russian paintings, something you don't get the chance to see just anywhere.

I liked this museum since it had quite a few works I enjoyed. Many paintings from the 1800s and also from the Soviet period. I paid two extra rubels to be able to photograph inside. Well worth the visit!

Easy to arrive walking! It is a small museum, but gives us a great view of some east painters! Price is 6 blr and it worth! It is a must in Minsk!

We liked visiting this museum. It contains a bit of everything. Be aware that is it bigger than it could seem at the beginning. Audio-guides available, but not promoted (too bad). Very interesting the area dedicated to Soviet paintings. Nice, lovely, cozy bar inside.
