This museum in really nice attraction to every art lover and especially if there is a rainy or cold day outside. They have an English translation next to every item which is nice for foreigners. Most of their exhibitions are from the Russian artists but they also have a little collection from other countries. A usefull tip - you don't... More

a fantastic and fascinating museum with all sorts of paintings and precious artefacts displayed. I enjoyed the small ancient Egypt items, the items from India were numerous and photography was not allowed on the India items and photography not allowed on the wonderful wood carvings recently rescued from a church. Enjoyed the vast rooms and huge sweeping marble staircases, there... More

We came to this museum just to watch one exhibition but stayed here for two hours. This place has a good collection of russian and belorussian art and architecture is cool.

|The Museum is in the city centre/ It is not big and you'll spend at least 3 hour enjoy the art! The rooms are wide and full of light!! They accept bank card but if you are to buy some souveniers be ready to pay only in cash!!

This museum provides a variety of expositions: from Belarusian Church wooden art of the 15th to contemporary art. If you are interested in Russian academic art you will find some famous works by Vrubel, and other artists, here. If you travel to Minsk in May you will have an opportunity to participate in the interactive program dedicated to the Night... More

It may be the Museum of National Art. It could just as well be the museum of missing art or left overs. There is no real story told in this museum. Too many pieces and they don't fit together. Everything is scattered in a very nice building. And most of the time there is an explanation in English. However, that... More

In a city where few museums are large or have signs in English, this is one of the exceptions. The art ranges from the contemporary (mind bogglingly bad in my opinion) to the medieval (interestingly armless statues and religious paintings) with everything in between and a scattering of work from other parts of the world. I found the Stalin-era paintings... More

A huge range of periods and styles - mostly paintings but some sculpture. Well presented and inexpensive entry fee. Sadly the shop would not sell me any post cards or books due to the introduction of their new currency notes. So nothing to take away but fading memories. Don't miss this gallery. No cafe - another lost opportunity.

There are several reasons why I like this museum a lot: - Quality of paintings is top - Exhibition rooms are not overfilled with paintings and mainly in the upper floors there is a lot of light due to the interesting architecture of the building. - We were there on a Saturday and still the museum was not overcrowded. There... More

It lacks the famous pieces that other European museums may have...but this is still an Impressive museum with works by Belarusian artists...the new annex has some interesting artifacts from places as far as Korea and Japan
