The sight of this monument being guarded so respectfully by the youth of today was quite moving. The seriousness and dedication to what they were doing certainly brings this monument alive.

A very impressive square with an impressive 40m high memorial to those who died in WW2. Often used by locals as a backdrop for wedding photos.

Monument and eternal flame in the centre of a roundabout. Recommend getting a underground team to here unless you're close. Access is through walkways under the busy road.

Another Soviet square with a monument that is massive and uninteresting. The monument itself, a 125-foot granite obelisk, is hard to miss at the center of this very busy intersection. Four sculpted panels surround it. One depicts the 9 May 1945 victory. The second one...More
