Not only do we organize insightful trips throughout the region and the Central Dinaric Alps, but we also assist various highland communities to develop their own responsible tourism activities. We did the "special" trip to Visocica Mountain to a mountain hut (one of those beautiful ones in Switzerland) where you could camp overnight if you wanted. The vista was nothing short of phenomenal. However, what really made the trip more interesting was hearing about the recent history from the perspective of our tour guide and about the sustainability projects Green Visions tries to push for the area. The owners of Green Visions were recently able to acquire a building near the edge of the Visocica Mountain I believe and they put down fiber optic cable for high speed internet and have room & board (with central heating) in order to hope to turn this place into a co-working place. The food in this building/mountain hut was honestly really good - probably better than some of the restaurants in Sarajevo. If we had known about this earlier we honestly might have stayed there for a few days instead of in Sarajevo. Going with this tour group is more than just a tour - also pushing for sustainable travel and you get to really see what the outdoor culture is like in Bosnia!

I really enjoyed the hike and your company.
It was a pleasure to share our mountains and vision with guests again, in these uncertain times. Hope we will have an opportunity to host you again in our newly established outdoor centre & co-working space. There are plenty of mountain trails to be discovered in the Visocica mountain area.

We are a mountain sports association from Madrid that wanted to organize a mountain trip this year through Bosnia and Montenegro, exploring some sections of the Via Dinarica White Trail. As the trip coordinator, I contacted Green Visions in January, and together with one of their experts, Samer Hajric, we arranged for them to create a custom itinerary for a group of 16 people from our mountain association.
The planning and coordination of the activity in the months leading up to the trip were perfect. Samir presented us with different options, and we worked with him to make some adjustments to meet the expectations of a mountain group like ours.
The execution of the trip was wonderful. The daily treks exceeded our expectations, and the accommodations, meals, and dinners were perfect. Samer’s professionalism as a mountain guide was exceptional—his knowledge of the terrain, having alternative options available at all times, and his ability to anticipate potential weather-related issues were all outstanding. He also managed the trip's logistics expertly, solving problems on the go (e.g., changing restaurants on the fly, finding alternative transportation when we had a minor issue with the bus).
Our group, A.D. Grupo Montaña Pegaso, is very satisfied with our experience with Green Visions and Samer, and we highly recommend them for custom mountain trips and mountain adventures in Bosnia and Montenegro.

The physical beauty of Bosnia, historical and cultural immersion, and tour staff Sabina and Sasa made this the most memorable bike trip we've taken, and we've done many. Both guides were extremely skilled and knowledgeable and were most eager to share their wealth of love and knowledge of this relatively under appreciated country. No detail was overlooked as the guides deftly managed all client needs and wishes at a low stress volume. Just simply amazing.

Our ten day Via Dinarica tour in Bosnia and Hercegovina and in Montenegro included hiking in the mountains that hosted the 1984 Olympics near Sarajevo, in Sutjeska National Park, and in Durmitor National Park. It also included a rafting trip on the Tara River. Our lodgings were always comfortable, with wonderful local food. I especially enjoyed the fresh vegetables and cheeses.
My favorite day of the trip was when we hiked from the village of Umoljani, where we were staying in a guest house run by a local family, to the village of Lukomir, high in the mountains, with views over Rakitnica Canyon.
Our guide, Samer Hajrik did a great job navigating the challenges caused by weather, varying fitness levels, and other emergencies that popped up. He shared the love he has for his country and a wealth of information that has left me wanting to learn more about this part of the world.
I especially loved learning about the ways the Via Dinarica is creating bonds between countries and seeing first hand how the long-distance hiking route benefits nearby communities.
My favorite day of the trip was when we hiked from the village of Umoljani, where we were staying in a guest house run by a local family, to the village of Lukomir, high in the mountains, with views over Rakitnica Canyon.

The hiking / rafting trip in Bosnia & Montenegro was absolutely fantastic. We did an 8 day tour that started in Sarajevo and ended in Podgorica.
The scenery was stunning, the trip was really well organized and the guides (Evelin & Samer) were great (positive, knowledgeable, enthusiastic, honest, motivational and careful).
We travelled with a group of 15 and had so much fun. The hikes were definitely challenging at some points but everybody was able to do it.
I enjoyed learning about Bosnia and Montenegro, admiring the landscape and the diverse itinerary of the trip. The guides made us feel safe and taken care of, while also preparing us well for what was to come, with honest and reliable descriptions.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys hiking. It was a great trip to do as a solo traveler because the group was very mixed, with couple / friends / solo travelers (most people in my group were between 23-35 yrs old).

My husband and I and 8 others, did a 10 day hiking trip starting in Sarajevo, Bosnia and ending in Podgorica, Montenegro. The trip was spectacular thanks to Samer, our guide, the beautiful mountains, the well chosen trails, the interesting range of lodging, a wild but safe rafting trip and more. Samer adapted the itinerary according to the weather and the needs of individual hikers. He is skillful, intelligent, warm, patient, cheerful, flexible, and knowledgeable about Balkan history and culture.

I am enormously grateful to Green Vision for making my summer one of the best experiences in my life.
Samer is the most efficient and kind person I have ever met. He organized a truly magical hiking trip. Thanks to him, I hiked many mountains while learning so much about Bosnian history. The hikes, the food, and meeting amazing people, like my favorite person in Bosnia, Evelin (the best guide ever), have earned my great admiration for the Bosnian country and culture. There is no doubt that I am coming back and will recommend Green Vision to hiking friends back home.
Next year, I hope to return with friends to share this wonderful experience and continue discovering more mountains and lakes in Bosnia. Thank you.

Green Visions provided an unforgettable experience for my group on our hiking tour through parts of Via Dinarica between Split and Sarajevo. The tour includes hiking three magnificent mountains, a day hike along a beautiful river, and overnight stays in three charming cities. From my initial email inquiry until the last moment of the tour, each member of the Green Visions team was professional, patient, caring, and passionate about sharing the love and knowledge of the environment, the people, the history, and the culture in every place that we visited.
Samer, my initial contact, thoroughly responded to all of our questions before and after booking. Evelin was our guide, and it was a privilege and joy to explore these mountains with him. His warmth and wit immediately made all of us feel comfortable, and he effectively and sensitively managed the differing strengths and challenges within our group. His knowledge of the terrain and of each mountain was amazing, and most importantly, he prioritized the safety and well-being of all in unexpected and challenging conditions. We also appreciated the manner in which both Evelin and Samer quickly addressed and made adjustments to accommodate the changing needs of our group during the tour. The tour was incredibly well organized, while still allowing room for flexibility as needed.
We also value the commitment of Green Visions to work with local organizations and vendors for every part of the tour, from accommodations, to restaurants, and beyond. Had the best week ever with Lorenc! He was so knowledgeable and passionate about his country, it really inspired me and everyone i went with. We explored both sarajevo and mostar and other little excursions on the way. He truly made our experience, and has really made me what to return. However, returning to Bosnia will not be the same without having the amazing local knowledge that Lorenc does! truly one of the kindest men i’ve ever met with genuine care for everyone! Could not recommend enough!!!

Lorenc was my guide for a university trip and was incredible - he was so caring, knowledgeable, and funny! Truly a gem! Cannot thank him enough for showing us his beautiful country with such skill and warmth! He made an effort to get to know every individual and meet their own needs, always prioritising our enjoyment and wellbeing. The amount of Lorenc’s friends we came across was a true testament to his character and it is easy to understand why he is so beloved. Thank you Green Visions!

Dear Keira,
I like to say that hike is doable very much by anybody who walks regularly in the mountains.
Most of the people on our hiking trips like this one have quite an experience. Anyway, if people have a problem with vertigo it is better not to do the hike.
Few places during the hike, are quite exposed and there are people who are not feeling comfortable about it.
The hike to Maglic itself is about 9 hours long (with small breaks and lunch break). There are (only) two places where the trail goes above fairly steep slopes, but everything else is fairly easily doable as long as guests are in fairly good shape. There is quite a lot ascending, but also descending. So in total for the whole day, we basically go more than 1,000 meters up and down.
As mentioned in two places there are exposed parts (not longer than 15-20 meters), but secured with metal cables, while exposures are always only on one side.
There are cables on the two most difficult parts of the trail.
