This is the catholic cathedral at the heart of Sarajevo. It was build at the end of 19th c. and it didn't suffer so many damages as other buildings at the war.

it is pretty interesting to see cathedral in such a city. weird monument of JPII in front of that place and not too rich inside, but definitely worth seeing. I especially like hot this building sits on a slope.

This is one of the first cathedral in Sarajevo and it's located in the heart of town. In curch you're having a people who will assist in researching religion in this place.

This review gets somewhat personal: my husband is Sarajlija and I am the daughter of a Herzegovac. Neither of us are religious at all but there is typically a day when we honor those who are no longer with us by visiting a couple of Bosniak graveyards and laying flowers and in my case burning candles for my father (and... I would say, don't go out of your way to see this cathedral but if you are on a walking tour, it doesn't hurt to go in and see it.

After I visited Gazi Huzev moskey, I left the old city and went to the cathedral. it is located across a park and the construction is majestuous., breathtaking. You can feel the Holy light inside the cathedral. Holly Mary looks like she is alive and rady to speak to you. I have got so much peace in my mind and... More

The church is beautiful but the thing that effected me the most was the red roses and the damage from the war. The spot directly in front of the church marks the spot where many civilians died during the war while simply waiting in line for food. It is important to remember that the war was not that long ago... More

This is a lovey church and stands at the centre of a very busy main square. What is really poignant about this church is its bullet holes which are all over the outside walls. There are also two sarajevo roses one directly in front of the church, the other at its side. Its an important reminder of the horrors this... More

This ninteenth century catholic cathedral is situated in the main pedestrian zone of Sarajevo. It's height and impressive architectural construction give the impression of a monumental building of importan religious and historical importance. The inner part of the cathedral is pretty amazing and should not be missed if you're around. The proof how important this cathedral is to the city... More
