The exhibits are nicely done, offering insight into the region, its culture and its history. It would have been even better had all the exhibits, similar to those in the archeology section, contained explanations in both Bosnian and English. Also a shame that the section...More

The National Museum has been closed for quite a while now, due to the inability/unwillingness of the government to support it. This unfortunately seems to be another piece of evidence of the indifference and greediness rife in the whole political system.

A very old school museum, but still worth a few hours browsing archealogical, natural history, and social history exhibits.

Excellent museum, at the time of visiting under renovation. Having said that, the archaeological section and the medieval sections that I visited were exceptionally well curated and I learned a lot about the earlier history of the area. Labelling of exhibits were of good standard...More

Our entrance fee was like 3km or something similar. We spent over an hour here and fairly breezed through a lot of it. If you were so inclined, the whole thing could take up 3-4 hours. There are about seven parts to the Museum; Romans,...More

When we wanted to buy tickets, they told us to have no change at all, we had to give the exact amount of money. The objets (which were not very exciting anyway) were not lightened enough and the famous Hagada you can only see behind...More

The collection is beautifully displayed and well-labled. The highlight for me, however, was the Sarajevo Haggadah. Bravo!

Hi, When we were there end of May 2017, we have seen the Hagaddah. It is in a little room apart from the other exhibition items, and we could go in the room.
