Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Found this only by asking several locals as it's a little bit of the beaten track. Worth it if only for the quirky photo opportunity.

Located in Slaveykov Square is a wonderful set of statues to father and son poets Petko Slaveykov ( 1827 - 1895 ) and Pencho Slaveykov ( 1866 - 1912 ) ,the statues are superb and sitting on their bench look very photogenic indeed and offer great photographic opportunities.
The statues are easy to locate on Slaveykov Square and are most definitely well worth checking out if your in the area.

Sculptures of people on park benches worldewide appeal to me because they present fun photo ops and sometimes represent city residents of historical significance. The life-size sculpture of Petko Slaveykov and his son, Pencho Slaveykov, sitting together on a bench, provide both fun for tourists and a reminder of important Bulgarians in the past for Sofia residents. Petko was a political activist (1827 - 1895), and Pencho was a modernist poet (1866 - 1912).

The extremely lifelike sculpture appears at one end of Slaveykov Square south of the City Garden. This square features booksellers' stalls and often has some old books in English. When I was at the square, I enjoyed watching people posing with the Slaveykovs. Sofia is a city full of monuments and statues. This is the only one I came across, which offers an opportunity for some interaction,

This kind of statue is cropping up all over the world now and they are fun. Some really nice characterisation in the sculpture on this one, so if you are passing, it is probably irresistible for a quick holiday snap

Placed in a square, that is known as a place to buy books , this statue seems to overlook the commerce and its positioning makes it feel like father and son are commenting on what the public is buying.

It’s a popular place to make pictures but, honestly, almost every life-size sculpture has that magnetism.

A nice bronze statue of father and son located in Slaveikovs Square honoring these two poets. A great photo opportunity for a whimsical photo.

The statue of father and son Slaveikov, both poets, is located at Slaveikov's square, named after them. Nice place for selfies, now the square is under construction and the statue is temporarily removed.

It is a bench with a statue of 2 of Bulgaria's famous writers. A father and son - a little sandwich shop called Dora is nearby and worth a visit as it is lovely!
