This is a statue of a assassinated prime minister. The park is a good place to hang around. You will not miss it on your tour of the city.

It's an epic spot especially in summer, full of people enjoying themselves, a meeting place for most of the young people in Sofia. You can just grab a beer from the nearest non stop and go sit on a bench and chill! : )

It is very unusual and interesting monument, head cut without body. It is not my art. The garden is beatiful.

Although I cannot read Bulgarian, however I went back and looked up the history of this interesting monument online. Apparently the slice one sees in the monument's head is from where Stambolov was assassinated by literally an ax to the head. Very gruesome... but they...More
