Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Honestly, you can look at the photos online and the website and get most of what you would get being at the museum. There were a few nice surprises to be able to look at in person, but otherwise it was very small and quick. Some of the art just looked like bad sketchbook pages torn out and hung up last minute.
Despite the size, they had an extra employee walking around, I guess to make sure you don't do anything naughty? She was not invasive, but still somewhat uncomfortable/overkill maybe.
The price isn't terrible, but I thought there would be a lot more to view, based on the overwhelming positive reviews. They have tons of gifts and postcards, which I guess is where they get their money.
Skippable if you have limited time in Zagreb.

I was excited to see this museum from all the descriptions, but we left completely bewildered, thinking, "wait... this is it? This is all there is?" I get that they're moving. But then don't keep charging people for seeing a couple of paintings in 3 small rooms!
At least we didn't pay much, because one of our party was disabled, and they get in free with a substantial discount for a companion. But I had to remind them of the policy in order to receive this. If we had to pay full price, we would have felt cheated.

This gallery is situated in the Upper Town and is a short walk from the top end of the funicular.
I ended up here as the Mimara gallery is still closed due to earthquake damage and Klovicevi Dvori was between exhibitions.
There are around five rooms of local 20th century paintings and sculptures.
I hadn’t heard of any of the artists but some of it was quite interesting although you would be hard pressed to spend any length of time here. I managed around 30 minutes.
Admission fee was 40 kuna.

We were charmed by this museum, featuring a school of art (Naive) that we knew only a little about. Easy to get to, small enough that it's a nice break from walking. Excellent permanent collection. Well worth the admission price (which is very reasonable in any event)

This is a lovely little museum with some stunning pieces. The Croatian Museum of Naïve Art holds more than 1,900 works of art – paintings, sculptures, drawings and prints. Of those, around 80 pieces are on display, ranging from the early 1930s to the 1980s.
I was enchanted by some of the paintings.

The art here is amazing but though they advertise 1900 pieces they’re actually displaying fewer than 50. So in essence, this isn’t a Museum; it’s a very small gallery that even moving slowly takes about 20 minutes to see. It used to be much larger… they have an amazing collection, but now they only have 3 of their “very important pieces” on display.

For 5.50€ one would expect a modicum of enlightenment. This place had 6 small rooms with only 3 or 4 with original art and the rest had posters. We were done in 15 minutes. My wife and I have visited art museums all over the world. In our view, this doesn’t fit our definition of a museum, or even a showing. We wouldn’t recommend this place to our family or friends.

From what I can gather, there was a time in the not too distant past when this was a great little art gallery with 50+ top-notch works by naive artists. But things have changed. These days, all you get are four self-proclaimed 'very important pieces' and a bunch of simplistic sketches & posters. I can normally spend hours in a good gallery, but here I was in & out in 20 minutes. An absolute waste of €5.50. Do yourself a favour & head to the local market and buy 2kg of sauerkraut instead!

Nice to go through the exhibits there. Seeing different styles of artwork on display. Some can make you scratch your head and think what can this be. Then some that were interesting to look at and appreciate the way people draw in art.

I guess this isn't my kind of art. It was okay. I did buy a mouse pad with the one picture I liked on it. It's very naive art. The people working there were very nice, and it is close to another museum that I did like.
