Make a point of finding this, otherwise you may walk right past if you're looking around. Beautiful sculpture from every angle. Sit and contemplate a while.

Happened upon this unique sculpture quite by accident, as I was passing through Marshal Tito Square. Don't think I've ever seen a sculpture that is so unusual and so beautiful. Most visitors to Zagreb will likely pick up a free 'Step-by-step' guide booklet at their nearest tourism office and in that booklet they will find a brief history on this... More

The Well of Life is such a nice statue on such a nice square. The statue is surrounded by concrete benches where you can sit and relax the view over the statue and buildings which are surrounding it. The faculty of Law is a very nice building that's just behind it and in the front is maybe one of the... More

Well worth a visit --- life cycle captured by Mestrovic remains with you well after you have left Croatia.

A beautiful sculpture, water is not drinkable so don't think we will find 'eternal' Life, but worth a visit if you are in Zagreb.

When I first came across this I was unsure what I was looking at, but thought it was beautiful. It is sunken into the ground so you have to step down to view it & there is cool seating surrounding it. Sadly the water was green & dirty.

This sculpture is a work of the Croatian sculptor Ivan Mestrovic. It shows how from children to loving couples and old people, the figures appear to reaching over the lip of the fountain to scoop up the water, suggesting a universal theme of human zest for life and interdependence. Don’t miss it. It is easy to walk by, when it... More
