It's one of the most horrific experiences. Stinky air, filthy and rotten place. No sand what so ever, it's a sort of clay that makes everything dirty. Pieces of glass and poop and cigarette butts all over the place. Loud idiotic music, people with no consciousness at all, drunk-heads even during the day. The water is dirty and it smells.... More

When first developed decades ago by the Soviets, evidently Nistru Beach was a fantastic summer river resort (remembering that Moldova is landlocked). A visit there now is inexpensive: a taxi from Chisinau, 200 MDL; bus 130/131 from Piața Centrală, 10 MDL; 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella for six hours, 100 MDL; a soft drink, 15 MDL, canned beer, 20... We decided to go for a drive one day and found our way to the "beach". There are too many dogs. The beach was filled with fishermen on the banks. I can see that this might have been a really nice place at one time, but not any more. For many this may be the only place they can afford... More

If you like mud, dirty water, garbage, used condoms, rusty playgrounds, stray feral dogs and dog feces everywhere, alcoholics and thugs - then sure, go ahead, visit it. Otherwise, keep away from it. And YES, it's THAT BAD. Won't get any better any time soon. I'm not trolling. Even if somebody cleaned up the mess, it's still a muddy beach... More

yeah, poor infrastructure, what else could be said... it should get better with the time with proper investment into the facilities there, and - in fact - it does get better every year, at a slow pace though...

if someone mentions this as an attraction, dont listen. it doesnt worth it to come here, it used to be a very nice place, but that was almost 20 years ago. What is left of the former beach is a tripe of dirty sand, and the river is very dirty too and people who come here are rude.

I mean, it's a river, and the beach is basic, and surrounded by slightly tatty entertainment. Interesting perhaps to see Transnistria across the water, but when the Adriatic is not so far away, this isn't really something you should be calling a beach

As mentioned by other reviewers, this place is not in Chisinau, but in Vadul lui Voda, some 30 km outside the city. We travel there quite frequently in summer, as there is not too many other natural swimming places around the city. It is a long sandy beach along the river Nistru, and the Nistru itself. Everything is pretty basic.... More
