A beautiful and calming oasis in the middle of the city, this monastery boasts an impressive interior with frescoes. There is also a courtyard area. The entrance is free but bring money for a donation.

A small chapel with some calm infusing ambience, aromas and decor. Definitely worth a 10 minute visit.

It is built in Brâncovenesc style. The patrons of the church are St. Archangels Michael and Gabriel. One of the monastery's constant interests is Byzantine music, expressed through its choir and the largest collection of Byzantine music books in Romania.

The best thing to do is to walk around and explore. Bucharest is full of surprise. The traffic is noisy and it could be difficult to cross the roads, also it's not very well sign posted.

Lovely historic monastery near center of Bucharest. If possible go on a Sunday; it'll be very crowded but the music and pageantry are worth it. Please be respectful of the worshipers. Stand in back, don't block others.

Hi, no there is not an entry fee. It is a monastery still functioning as a pilgrimage site, not a monument. No waiting time to enter. I don't know the time scedule, we 've been there around noon and it was open. I hope... More
