This is a bit of a strange monument that could not be interpreted by everyone, especially foreign tourists as the monument is a pyramid with statues at the bottom and what could represent the globe being stricken through right in the middle. We were clearly...More

Impressive large square where with little imagination, one can envision the crowds gathered and booing the dictator A piece of history The new Romania emerged after events that took place and still take place at this spot

Worth a walk around and remember what happened in 1989. Note the architect's headquarters just to the left...a building within a building??

Our guide Alin Anitas, stopped off here as it is an important part of Romanian recent history. It was sad to see just how unkempt nd uncared for the area is,especially the bronze plaques with names of the dead.

Place with big historic value. Although it is nothing special architecturally (typical communistic building), it is very important to see and to stand where history was changed.

This is where the overthrow of the ruling comunists took place. Our guide was excellent and told us the details of the day of the Revolution. It was a chilling reminder of the megalomaniac behaviour of the despot Caucescou and his wife.We are so lucky...More

This square is very beautifull, there is a site with lot of history. The building architecture is amazing with lot of common point with Paris. It is mandatory to visit it if you have a travel on Bucarest city. Great !!

If you go to the metro at the university it's just down the main road which takes you to the park (perpendicular from the train line) it's on the right hand side.
