It's a beautiful old building or palace housing a military library and some governmental group with a beautiful fountain in front, a restaurant in the upper area and several art exhibits in the lower areas. There are different exhibits there occasionally.

Stayed at Hotel Capitol right beside CCA. Nice building with flowers and water feature outside but was closed for renovation when we visited May '17. A small restaurant on the courtyard just up those steps was open though

It's worth stopping her for a photo op if you're passing. It's a vast building with impressive steps and a big fountain, but as of May 2017, most of the building would appear to be under construction and what is open is just a restaurant.

Skip the restaurant. Monumentally atrocious, even for simply having a beer it was a hassle with the absent-minded servers.

It is not very often you get to dine in a grand building/palace. For us this was an amazing experience. We must say, standing outside this building on Calea Victoriei, we were a bit intimidated about entering it as it is very grand. Our suspicions...More

Built as the club for the Romanian Military during the Communist period, this is one of several impressive buildings along Calea Victoriei. However, keep your hopes in check, as the Communist period still casts its shadow: the restaurant on the large patio out front (which...More

This is a lovely building, which is best visited during the warm seasons, as the fountain does not work in the early winter. Having said that, the area was already decorated for Christmas, which somehow compensated for the lack of flowing water.
