Intresting museum

It has two different exhibitions , the European for me was better because the other is focused to religious art .

For me was a bit weird pay to see each exhibition, but both, the permanent and the "art for the people " were amazing... The museum is huge, in a very beautiful building... I took two hours to see everything and it worth it! If you like art, and feel the country through it's artists this museum is a great... More

This is a stunning building easily accessible on the main street of Bucharest ! It houses what our Greeter described as the best museum in Bucharest ! Unfortunately it was nearly closing time when we got there but the few glances we were able to do of the inside really impressed us !

You'll find almost everything you want to see in Romanian's art history from the greatest painters that lived centuries ago to modern art. The museum also holds the European Art Gallery.

I have visited the National Museum of Art of Romania several times, and each time I've had the chance to both enjoy the unique permanent collections as well as the temporary exhibitions. Recently, I visited "Oglinzile Orientului" (Mirrors of the Orient), a superlative exhibition about Orientalism in Romania and Europe. I have also written an article about it on my... More

Like other said, there are two sections and the price for both is 15 and one is 10... I spend in Romanian's art almost 3 hours; have good collection and give you perspective about what Romanian's art are.

You can compare it with the Rachs Museum in Amsterdam only a little bit smaller. You should definitely go and visit it!!

There are two sides to the museum that are separate from each other requiring separate admissions however you can pay for both at the same time. There's also the extra fee if you want to take pictures. One side of the museum is art, sculptures and artifacts that are all romanian. The oldest pieces are at the bottom and the... More

Try to allow for at least a couple of hours as the museum is quite large and there are a couple of buildings that you should not miss.

Visited only the European sector cause of lack of time.....very good organised you can have a good view of all the artistic waves of the last centuries with the most impressive be the el Grecos and rembrant paintings.....worth visiting and spend 1 hour..the ticket is cheap and the building itself is really impressive....former palace.
