Amazing paintings and artworks, marvelous palace BUT, although it's a NATIONAL museum, there is not a single description in English about the paintings, neither about the historical period nor some biographical hints regarding the artists (unknown). The lady at the ticket office is arrogant, crabby...More

Amazing! I am still thinking about the collection of art days later! There are two sections (European and Romanian) and both as equally impressive! A huge variety of exhibits and 2 hours seemed to go in the blink of an eye! Well worth the short...More

The Art Museum's collection is modest but beautifully displayed. There are some works by El Greco, Picasso, and impressionist work. The marble staircase at the exit is stunning. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Went to European and Romanian sections. Romanian section was fascinating due to late adherence to medieval form despite renaissance in Western Europe art. Some later Romanian art is worth the time but can mostly skip much of late 19th and all 20th centuary stuff.

My wife and I toured both the European gallery and the Romanian gallery. The European gallery was well done with a few notable artists such as El Greco and Rembrandt mixed in. We preferred the Romanian gallery, though. The works are grouped by artist and...More
