Another lovely church, tucked in just beyond the Hilton Hotel. The paintings within the splendid iconostasis have beautiful, elaborately carved and gilded frames. Not quite the same atmosphere as the Old Court Church which remains my favourite of those we visited, but definitely worth seeing.

We were staying at the Radisson Blu, so this church was very near our hotel. On most days it was closed, but at the weekend I managed to go in and have a look. Lovely and serene inside with many golden icons. Worth a visit.

We were pleased to enter this old church and see so many people attending the service. There were only a few seats, we sat there and enjoyed the beauty of this old church.

Church of St. Nicholas (White church) was built in 18th century and today is one of the prominent Orthodox churches in Bucharest. It was reconstructed and renovated many times in 20th and 21st centuries.

From 1827 and still visited by Christian Orthodox believers who worship the icons of Christ while He is looking down from a prominent place in the cupola. The atheist communists were unable to extinguish the flame. In modern times the belief in fairy tales continues.

This church was located less than 5min walk to our hotel and right near Primus restaurant where we came to on 2 occasions. The church itself is painted in white and we noticed lots of people buying candles in front of the restaurant and placing...More

Easy to find on Calea Victoriei this church is located in a small green lot surrounded by (ugly) buildings. The outside is not special but the interior is worth to take a look at.
