Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is apparently the oldest surviving Jewish / Yiddisch theater in Europe.
Located in a well preserved building, it must present 25% of its production in the Yiddish language. Unfortunately, there was no such production showing during our time in Bucharest, but if the visitor understands the language and has a chance to see a play in it, she should definitely consider going..

On a recent trip to Bucharest, we came across this little Theatre. We were introduced to Marcel, who gave us a personal guided tour with so much history and passion, it bought the whole place to life. This was a totally unexpected and memorable visit - well worth going to see.

Apparently this was the only Theater providing English sub-titles, and the fact that a world renowned actress as Maya Morgenstern was Starring in it made this the perfect choice... The modernised Theater looked very well and we all enjoyed ourselves

We were fortunate to be taking on a guided tour by the Stage Manager who happened to be there when we went inside to ask if we could take some photos.
So while we weren't able to see a production, we did get a great understanding of the history of the building and theatre productions, as well as a close up view of all areas of the theatre.

I was fortunate this week to appear on the stage of the historic Teatrul Evreiesc de Stat, in Bucharest. I also had the good fortune, a night earlier, to attend a performance by the legendary group, The Klezmatics, in the same space. Both performances were part of the International Festival of Yiddish Theatre, held annually in Bucharest. Our comfort as audience members, in the spacious seats, in a theatre with amazing sound and old-style charm was exceeded only by the comfort to which we were treated as entertainers. I was so impressed that the audience was made up primarily of non-Jewish Romanians who had a true interest in being exposed to this joyful and historical tradition of cultural theatre. The response to both our show and the Klezmatics’ show were quite overwhelming and generous. I hope they’ll ask us back to this beautiful jewel box of a theatre next year!

I really like it, even if they didn't speak our language, they have translation in romanian. The show was very nice, oriental like :)
