This market is located near the city center. It took me maybe ten minutes walking from my hotel which was located on the slavia. In the market you can find everything that exists so i was shocked. The only thing I really don't like is the smell of fish that is present everywhere.

We are lovers of visiting the farmers markets in all the cities we visit. The reason is that in the farmers markets feel the pulse of the place. It is the same here at Kalenic market. The atmosphere is wonderful, lots of sellers and buyers. We can buy fresh vegetables and fruits, fresh meat, cured meat product (sausages, ham, salami ..) excellent chees, kajmak, flowers and a place where you can buy all you need. It is a well organized and clean market. Be sure to visit.

There is no shortage of farmers markets in Belgrade centre, and Kalenic Pijaca is one of three I know. It is a well organised and clean market. Whether it will become one of my favourites remains to be seen. Whilst it is close to my current residency, I still favour the farmers market near the bohemian centre Skardarlija.

This is one of the few markets in central Belgrade. Kaleniche is close to Skadarlia street and offers many varieties of fruits, vegetables, meat, cheese, fish and cooked meat and fish.

You want to discover Serbia and Balkans? Just avoid the tourist trap named Skadarlija, and step down to Kalenic market, where you'll get the best of food, drinks and a bit more of Balkans. It's raw, but way more fascinating!

Kalenic pijaca is a market of a fresh vegetables and fruits, flowers and a place where you can buy all you need.
All agricultural products are fresh and come directly from the countryside outside Belgrade.
Sellers are always kind, nice and many of them really strange. This people I had seen only in the Yugoslavian movies of 30 years ago ...
Is an interesting market even if you do not want to buy anything. But just crawl.
Go there. Will be a unique experience.

The market appears to be in the process of being rebuilt, in consequence half the stalls were empty. Pretty flower section, fruit and veg, second hand clothes. Not worth the trip at present.

I had a walk through here and didn't seem that amazing. There was mainly vegetables, fruit and nuts and some second hand goods.

A well organized outdoor market ,full of local products. You can find anything from fresh vegetables, fruits, meat, fish ,flowers to clothes and second hand things. You won't find touristic souvenirs in there. Worth visiting on Sundays.
You can try local foods inside and exactly outside of the market. You shouldn't miss tasting the best pita in Beligrade from a store inside the market. It is baked traditionally in coal and you can try mushroom ,raspberry, meat, cheese pita.Deliciouuuus!

Great to buy your fresh local vegetables on the market ! Surprising to see that here there are still seasons, product offer follows the time of the year. This way the market goes from”red” during summer with tomatoes and paprika’s to “green” when the cabbages arrive in autumn. Many home made products like ajvar , marmelade, ... fun to see the traditional Serbian ladies selling their goods.
