Travelling in a group and with kids is never the simplest task - so it seemed quite like the smart thing to do to get someone with local knowledge to be our guides.
And how right we were. The team led by Miljan (the owner, tour designer) and Andrija (the guide who was with us thru our 9 day journey) were nothing short of excellent.
We made bespoke itinerary that allowed us to hub out of both Belgrade and Novi Sad and gave us a full whirlwind and thorough tour of Northern Serbia and the capital.
From 999AD to 1999AD - we got whole rundown of what Serbia was, what it went through, and how the Serbs see themselves today.
Along the way we experienced some fantastic architecture and historical sites that are millennia old such as some jaw dropping monasteries. Then within these dropped jaws we stuffed some incredible local cuisine and Serbian wine that truly satiated the heart and soul!
The company is responsive, alert, understanding of customer needs and they definitely know their way around the country - lastly & most of all they are straightforward. I would highly recommend using their services be it as a solo traveler or a big group!!

Review Serbian Private Tours
Excellent service, every detail managed
We were scheduled for 3 week Balkan Tour (Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, North Macedonia) in spring os 2020 when pandemic struck. Miljan worked diligently with us to reschedule for fall of 2020 but of course we had to reschedule once again for spring of 2021. Throughout this time he stayed in contact and professionally rearranged every detail. After we were vaccinated with his patience and reassurance we took the plunge and went. We just completed the trip in May 2021!
Upon arrival and throughout entire trip every detail was managed by guide Andrija with Miljan checking in with us periodically to confirm all was going well.
All the hotels were small local operations in good locations....clean, secure with good breakfasts.
The daily afternoon meals were incredibly good....Not regular tourist restaurants but consistently outstanding!
All local tour guides were very knowledgeable and spoke English well.
Andrija was readily available to us even when we were with local guides and always ready to assist with our unexpected needs. Each day he had our vehicle cleaned even when it was raining. He is extremely knowledgeable and very patient.Truly the best guide we have ever had in all our of our travels
In conclusion this company is of the highest quality and best value any travelers could possibly desire.

I already want to go back. I did a multi-day (8 day) tour. When scheduling the tour, Miljan suggested adding two single day tours to the seven day tour to fit the length of my trip. These were the Monasteries Manasija and Ravanica as well as the Pearls of Hungarian Succession. Both were excellent additions and well worth doing. I don't regret a single moment of the entire experience.
My tour guide was Andrija. He is very friendly and always professional. His knowledge of everything we did and saw is impressive. He taught me a great amount of Serbian history and culture. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
The food was wonderful. I never had a bad meal the entire trip. Every day we ate something different and new. Every day I was stuffed. The restaurants we went to were local and authentic. None of it was part of a chain or tourist trap which I really appreciate.
This company clearly has a good reputation in their community. We were warmly welcomed at almost every place we went to, with staff and owners speaking with us more like friends than customers. It really made a big difference.
Overall, I would always recommend Miljan, Andrija and the rest of the Serbian Private Tours team for anyone, or group, going to Serbia. I've been on other trips, to other places of the world, and this was certainly the best. From how friendly and kind the Serbian people are to the great food, rich history and beautiful country. You will not be disappointed with booking a trip through this company.

For a long time, wife and I wanted to take a wine tour together and this years' birthday was perfect occasion for a surprise wine tour party for my wife. Miljan from Serbian Private Tours managed to organise a tour for 10 of us on a tight schedule. And what a tour it was!
We were picked up in front of our apartment by a fancy new minibus, and taken for an educational, inspiring and above all a fun ride for everyone. Tour was themed "in kings' footsteps" and thought us about history of winemaking in central Serbia, showed us different types and flavours of winemaking - from big a successful private winery, small family owned winery all the way to King Aleksandars' winery. Each stop offered completely different experience, with different ambient, history and obviously wines, yet all was connected by the same thread of passion for winemaking and indigenous vines. Cherry on top was the last stop at wine fair in Topola.
Miljan was a great host and professional, has offered a lot of interesting information and stories, but has managed to adapt to our unusual group (each stop being a surprise, and generally a small celebration) and felt like a true part of the group. The minivan was also great and Stanko the driver always managed to find the right tune for us to listen to or sing along with and was a cool sidekick the whole ride.
As a special curiosity, even though we haven't agreed to this upfront, Miljan was carrying a professional camera with him, and has taken a lot of great pictures of the event - he even went out of his way to create a neat little postcard that we'll print and send to everyone in the group as a souvenir. A great surprise and a great touch!
All in all, this is definitely going to be a party and a tour to remember, would definitely recommend.

I recently completed a private 8-day tour throughout Serbia and I would count this trip amongst my all time favourite experiences travelling abroad. Even before I arrived in Belgrade, owner Miljan was ALWAYS immediately responsive to all my enquiries and he put together an itinerary that was perfectly tailored to all my preferences/interests. And I was incredibly fortunate to have Dejan as my personal guide/driver. From the moment he met me at the airport, I knew that I, a single female traveller, was in good/safe hands. Apart from his expert /careful driving, he treated me more like a new friend than a guide. He accommodated all of my requests and we simply HAD FUN. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Serbia and its history. Our conversations were always informative and interesting. Overall, I would very highly recommend this trip. There is so much diversity; beautiful mountains, vibrant culture, monasteries and vineyards (we visited some remarkable small wineries in beautiful settings). Another highlight was the food. We dined at wonderful local restaurants that were expertly selected. As well, given Dejan's translation, I was able to meet many locals who welcomed me warmly. So many wonderful memories of Serbia. I had absolutely NO complaints about this tour. And the owner even made a point of meeting me for lunch one day during the visit to ensure that everything was going well. Thank you Serbian Private Tours !!

ガイドのAndrijaが2日とも対応してくれました。朝早い待ち合わせにも遅れることなく、彼の知識の深さと機転の利く対応に大変充実した楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。
Andrijaもカメラを持ってきてくれて、私たちを撮影してくれたり、帰国後にはきちんとメールで写真を送ってくれたので、大変良い思い出になりました。
またセルビアを訪れる機会があれば、またお願いしたいと思います。

First we have to say that this was the best private tour ever and we have had quite a few, since we are world travelers.
Our private tour was the Western Balkans for two weeks and we enjoyed our trip to the fullest. Andrija was our tour guide/driver and he was outstanding. By the end of the tour, he was more like a close friend/family member for us. He took very good care of every possible detail in order to accommodate us and made our trip wonderful. They hand pick every place so well that even the most demanding traveler will be satisfied including my picky husband. LOL
All cities, towns and historic sites were incredible; we also met up with other excellent tour guides in Trebinje, Tirana and Emir in Sarajevo who was particularly fun. The culinary experience was fantastic and all restaurants were just as good as the trip itself.
Miljan made booking easy since with all the preparation especially answering questions and his customer service was impeccable.
The vehicle used was very comfortable and Andrija always kept it nice and clean. Hotel locations were also great all had air conditioning and WIFI. We particularly loved the one in Old Town Kotor while staying at Kustendorf it was a very nice experience as well.
Overall my husband and I can’t say enough about our experience and look forward to booking once again with Serbian Private Tours in the very near future.

Miljan started our day with a personal walking tour of Novi Sad highlights, including the downtown and the fortress. We then visited a monastery at Fruska Gorda before visiting a lovely small winery where we enjoyed local dishes for lunch, prepared by the owner's family. Visiting with the family, as well as with other guests at the winery, was a special experience. The wines were excellent, but the experience of being with the family in a small village setting was the highlight. We truly appreciate Miljan's sharing these intimate experiences of Serbian history and local life with us.

We had a fantastic field trip to Iron Gate and Lepenski Vir in August 2022! The company was great to work with, and provided helpful information to help us pick the best field trip for our group f 13. Our tour guide, Dejan, was amazing - knowledgeable, organized, flexible, and kind. We got to see incredible historical sites and enjoy a wonderful lunch at Kepetan Mišin Breg. Finally, the mini bus was very comfortable, and our driver was fantastic. I highly recommend Serbian Private Tours to travelers wanting to discover Serbia, as well as locals wanting to explore. 10/10 experience. Hvala!

First of all, go to Serbia. It is beautiful, interesting, and welcoming. We definitely recommend you book with Serbian Private Tours. We had a fabulous 8 day trip. Everything was well planned, organized, but flexible. Our guide (Andrija) was everything you want - knowledgeable, easy to be with, went out of his way to be sure we were well taken care of, and a great driver which is important in Serbia. We are hoping to go back and will definitely use Serbian Private Tours again.

Здравствуйте! Планирую ( очень хотелось бы) поездку в Сербию. На первом месте - природа ( фото - хобби), потом- кухня и люди. Но у меня есть только неделя и хотелось бы посетить не более 2-3 мест, лучше пожить и посмотреть не спеша. Еду, скорее всего один, но может быть с сыном (27 лет). Подскажите что-нибудь! We have really great choice of tours (cultural, nature, sightseeing, hiking, food and wine tours...), from city tours and single day tours, to multi-day packages, from that reason I suggest that you visit our website in order to see what we have to offer and what will best suite your needs. With one remark, at that part of the season not all of our tours are available, due to weather conditions and due to seasonal operation of locations or attractions where our tours are conducted. Prices for tours start at 119€ for a city tour and climb up depending on specific tour, number of people, etc...

Hi Ian, yes, it's possible of course. We have tour to Fruska Gora monasteries and town of Sremski Karlovci and we can add Novi Sad to this tour. Price is 149€ for 1-3 persons, price is per tour, not per person. For 4-6 persons price is 239€.
