Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It is quite nice for a change to escape the city's stressful hustle & bustle and get a change of perspectives visiting a botanical garden, but Belgrade's one isn't necessarily the prime example of such places. Don't get me wrong it is a good thing it is there and likely brings a lot of joy to locals, but as a tourist I wasn't impressed all that much. If you only have a few days in Belgrade its not a capital crime to miss out on it...

Botanical Gardens Jevremovac is a unit of the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade. It was founded in 1874 by the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Serbia, at the suggestion of Joseph Pančića, who was also its first curator. In 1889, the King Milan Obrenović donated the estate (which he inherited from his grandfather Jevrem) Great School in Belgrade for the Botanic Garden, provided it is called Jevremovac. At this location and under the same name today. Botanical Garden covers an area of about 5 hectares, where on an open space there are over 350 species of trees and shrubs, domestic, European and exotic plants, and the total plant population now includes over 1500 trees, bushes and herbaceous plants. Botanical Gardens comprises in addition to open space, the greenhouse and the offices of the Institute of Botany (administrative building, herbarium, library, lecture hall, laboratory).

Botanical Garden "Jevremovac" belongs to the School of Biology, University of Belgrade. Years ago, Jevremovac was a park, open to public. Families would come here daily with young children and babies, pensioners would enjoy fresh air in the middle of the city. Now you have to pay to enter. The plant collection is good and I recommend this place to visitors who are interested in botany.
According to the website, the garden is under construction.

Years of negligence ruined this nice park and botanical garden, but plants are growing anyway... There is small but nice Japanese garden and it is actually very nice to walk the paths in the park and enjoy greenery.

The Garden is in downtown. You can found a lot of species of plants. I recommend you to hire some guide to talk interesting stories about plants. Usually on saturdays are free entrance, but you must check this information before go there. Unfortunatly this place neglected as many things in Belgrade. The best time to come here is in spring and summer.

Beautiful small botanical garden, the oldest one in Serbia, with the amazing collection of old trees. Has also one of the oldest victorian style glass houses still standing in this part of Europe... a def. must see...

The plants, monuments, bridges and all of the benches were covered in the bird droppings. The greenhouse (staklenik) is closed due to renovation.
Something that was suppossed to be taking some rest in a nice ambient turned out to be a terrible mistake.
The garden is very small and very noisy as the main streets are close by and because of the birds.

Very small garden which you have to pay around 2 euro's to get in. Not even worth those euro's. Nothing special to see or do. You'd better use these 2 euro's to buy yourself a Serbian pivo. More fun guarenteed.
