Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The once under developed Sava river front has been turned in to an excellent location with a promenade, cafes and small play grounds. Most suitable for couples, families with children, it offers a relaxing day out. Its close proximity to the old city centre adds greatly to its value. An absolute must to visit.

Everything is almost in the city center, just few minutes from center by bus. Before running in to Danube river,Sava river runs to Ada Ciganlija the so called Belgrade sea.Beautiful Savamala ,numerous floating clubs with exciting nightlife ,Beton hala, and all restaurants makes you feel so pleasant and romantic.
You can visit banks of Sava river on foot ,by bike, my favorite,or by cruise ship.
Unfortunately experience, must see in Belgrade...

The Sava is running through Belgrade and is meeting the Danube just at the outer walls of Kalemegdan fortress.
There are several ways to discover the river, one of those is by a short river cruise - that's what I've chosen - , also you can walk on the shores if you like.
Along the Sava big cruise ships from Europe stop for several hours or 1-2 days pending on the cruise schedule , so tourists can discover Belgrade.
Also a countless number of bars and restaurants can be found on the shore - so even for a lunch / dinner or if you are looking for some drinks it can be a place to consider.
Overall an interesting experience to discover the Sava and Belgrade from the river , when you are in Belgrade it is worth 1-2 hours to be spent on the river or on its shores.

I went for dinner, fish soup (good but too spicy) and a river fish (great). It is a boat transformed to restaurant and its location is just perfect. Unfortunately, the time was past 21.00, but I will definately visit it again in afternoon, where sitting by the Danube will be really breathtaking

Very nice boat trip on Sava and Danube, with a good dinner aboard looking at these great rivers and big bridges crossing them.

The Sava is a river in Southeast Europe, a right side tributary of the Danube river at Belgrade. Sava is the 16th longest river in Europe. There are many bars on the Sava River, where the fun is guaranteed.

Belgrade is the confluence of two great rivers. The central European river Sava drains into river Danube at Belgrade. Watching this river coming and joining Danube from above the fort is just so beautiful.
There are a number of restaurants floating or fixed on its shores in Belgrade.

The "river" here is a tributary of the Danube; tires strewn on the dirty sandless banks did not enhance its visual appeal. Branches and trash also lined the shores. There is no way anyone would go in that water.

However, for quick access from our docked river cruise vessel, it was easy to get to the Kalemegdan Fortress by walking along the well-marked (and maintained) shoreline path. A number of little bars and cafes line the route, and bicycists use this as a traffic-free route. The walk was pleasant and took very little time.

No charge at the fortress.

As "rivers" go, this one needs a little work and a whole lot of elbow grease.

Sava river flows through Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia. In Belgrade it joins Danube. There you can see The Great War Island, Brankov Bridge, Tram Bridge, Gazela Bridge, Railway Bridge and Ada Bridge. Sava is natural border between Belgrade and Zemun, Balcan and Europe. You can take a long walk, ride bike, jogg and enjoy beautiful sights. From Zemun side you can see Kalemegdan fortress, also see Museum of Contemporary Arts, Friendship park...
