My name is Nebojsa, so I'm kind of proud to this tower. Anyway, it got the name during the Turkish era when they were doing executions there and then before each execution the hangman would say "Ne boj se" (Don't be afraid) so that's how it acutally got its name. Anyway, nice tower but usually not open for public. I... More

A very informative modern museum with amazing views from some of the upper windows. The best display of information about Belgrade we saw on our visit. It is only a short walk from the White Fortress.

Here at the confluence of the Sava and Danube stands this Nebojsa Tower, a former military tower, which was intended to protect the access to the Danube port from the attacks of the Turks. I visited this very significant historical monument yesterday and was enchanted with the presentation of the history of the tower, that was offered on this occasion.... More

My friend and I were walking along the waterfront and we came across the tower. I am glad we stopped in. The small museum discusses the role the tower played in history and some of the people imprisoned there.

A former military tower on the Danube waterfront transformed into a exhibition space. It's just under the Kalemegdan fortress. There's a nice walking and cycling trail which passes by the tower and runs along the Danube river.

The tower is on the side of the Danube, part of the old fortress, once served as defence tower and after as a jail, during turkish ocupacy. It is now a museum, made on EU funds, with greek suport and show how things can be in that area. Unfortunatelly, I cannot say the same about Belgrade Fortress, which look abandoned... More
