Great reference point for when you’re out and about as it’s the main street right in the city centre, so handy for navigating. Independence Square is on this street as well as big shop chains (Nike, Zara etc), and leads onto more shopping streets. Strongly recommend visiting Gulliver shopping centre, which is 10 mins from this street.

Lots of underpasses along this big main road- handy for crossing but can be a bit disorientating in the larger ones, which also host shops and small malls.

Khreshchatyk Street is located in the center of Kiev and is one of the most famous streets in Kiev. Independence Square is also located here. There are many restaurants and shopping malls on both sides of the street, and there are also many vendors selling snacks on the roadside. This is a must-visit street for travelers, and no trip to Kiev is complete without visiting it. There were fewer foreign tourists in Ukraine during the war, leaving the streets less crowded than before.

The very center of Kyiv. On weekends it is closed to traffic. music broadcasts are held. There are cafes and expensive brand stores here. The buildings of the Ukrainian administration are also located here.
people come here. I saw mostly young people. I also saw the protesters.
For me it was an ordinary square street.
I didn’t like the Globus shopping center here either.

This is the center of Kyiv. It is closed on weekends.
In Kyiv, this place is used as Revolution Square. Where American foundations and George Soros use us. This is where they overthrow leaders they don't need by handing out halak money.
expensive stores, brands.
Street musicians.
It's not very interesting when you look at the picture.
People come here when they have nowhere to go. like a market. boys and girls come here on weekends.
I don't like this place at all

In the heart of the city is Khreshchatyk, the main street in Kiev and one of the most famous, it stretches for 1.2 kilometres running from European Square to Bessarabska Square. The street was completely devastated during World II by Red Army troops who were retreating from the city and subsequently the street was rebuilt in the neo-classical style of post-war Stalinist architecture.

Khreshchatyk has been completely revamped recently and has become the location for many administrative and corporate organisations, it is also reputed to be one of the most expensive streets in Europe. I visited the street a number of times during my visits to Kiev and enjoyed the buzz of the place and hope to return again soon.

Beautiful old city Kyiv. Wonderful architecture, fresh air, nice people. Lots of little shops on Khreshatyk street. In the winter and/or summer it's actually a very nice place to walk around. Every Sunday street partly closed for cars, so people can freely pass across wherever they want. As a Ukrainian, I personally don't like seeming more and more strange Turkish/Arab/Georgian/Persian/Iranian/Azerbaijan men trying to pick up our young ladies. This what makes our streets dirty. But the rest is fine)

This is main shopping street in Kiev and it’s lovely to have a stroll along and admiring the colourful restaurants and little stalls offering tobacco, coffee and snacks.
There’s quite a few homeless dotted around with people trying to sell you nuts and flowers but that’s too be expected in a big city.
It’s a very long street, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. Lots of food options to choose from if you’re fancying some lunch or dinner. There’s also plenty of shops ranging from average priced shops to higher end shops.
One place you can’t really miss when visiting Kiev.

Nice street, interesting architecture, so very wide what is characteristic only for former Soviet countries - you can not find such boulevards nowhere in rest of Europe. Interesting architecture and happenings all over - treasure for pro photographers ( teens dancing in front of Metro entrance, many people walking by, souvenir sellers, many places to have a coffee or a pancake for takeaway, homeless people waiting at the evening for the SalvationArmy van with cooked meal etc.) at the same time all worldwide known fashion brands shops, and Ukrainian ones available in shops throughout the street. we spent every evening there. have to mention that it is a wide boulevard impossible to cross without going to underground passages so choose carefully because some are full of life, shops and souvenir sellers and some are deserted and without any light during the day and evening - I am not kidding!

Loved walking on this street, it's a lively street with people, modern shops, coffee kiosks. 'BCI. COBI' store sells some handmade Ukrainian products. It's worth visiting this store if you like leather handmade products & traditional handmade jewelry. Just outside of the store the lady was selling scarfs, hats etc. made by her & all are beautiful! The trees made the street green & Cool.

Khreshchatyk street like La Rambla (Barcelona) ,the Gran Via (Madrid) ,Taqseem (Istanbul) the Khreshchatyk street is main street in Kiev. The street has a length around 1.5 km, It goes from the European Square (northeast) through the Maidan and to Bessarabska Square (southwest) where the Besarabsky Market is located, Along the street are located buildings of the Kiev City Administration which contains both the city's council and the state administration the Besarabka Market, the only thing I can express is how I was facinated by the great architecture of the buildings !!!!
The place is great for shopping as while you walk you’ll go through all the brands you know ,other than shopping you can find various restaurants, cafe’s ,bars ,quosks ,fast food places ,it’s really amusing.

My visit to kiev was during one of the weekends in Sep , no cars or any other transportation was allowed , people were walking along the street where a lot of sport activities were held ,it was crowded and so much alive .

I loved it
