This was one of my highlights when in Kiev. The motherland monument is something to behold and is worth seeing on its own. Other then that there are 3 main things to do here. The first is outside there are loads of tanks, planes and other...More

I’m not a huge fan of wars and wartime stories, however I must say it was interesting to visit it because it was part of a tour ... would I take the trouble to visit it separately, no (but that could be my individual taste)....More

What makes this museum special is the complex itself, it is a time machine back to the USSR. The display about the conflict with Russia makes the museum special for visitors from Western Europa. This museum is must see if war is your cup of...More

We spent an hour or so here - the place is full of interesting information and the exhibits have been well curated, with a lot of thought. We rented audioguides, which was definitely a good idea as there is little explanation in English otherwise. The...More

Was expected to be bored but they have done this so artistically and the audio guides were just right with enough information. Loved the climb to the viewing platform for the view

The first problem with this Museum is there are no English Exhibits or Guides.. Not good for Foreigners especially as the Museum is set up to show the Heros of the Ukrainian army. Few Old Tanks and Artillery on show but no readable explanations.

A large display of armaments that have been used against the foes of the Ukraine. From WW2 through the land grab of Crimea by the Soviets. Outstanding artifacts here and in Lady of Ukraine Museum

Most of them outside - technique. Smaller War Museum is inside. We were there for about 2-3 hours.

Yes I agree you need 2 to 3 hours, mainly because much of it is outside and spread around and the hill top park it is in and the views it gives are a large part of the visit
