This place was lovingly restored in 2001 after it was destroyed by Soviets in 1930s. Its little museum in the bell tower will tell you its story. The cathedral gained special people recognition during the Revolution of Dignity by supporting protectors in many significant ways. It's a truly special place

Lovely serene church. Beautifully maintained with huge imposing towers and domestic. Inside is lovely too, so ornate and oeacful. A lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of the streets of the city. Highly recommended.

Very interesting visit. The site includes the monastery, the church and the bell tower. Admission is free and the view from the bell tower is amazing. There is a receptacle where you can fill your bottle with holy water. Well worth a visit.

I visited Kiev as a photographer in June 2016. Of all the buildings I visited, religious or otherwise, this, for me, was the most interesting and beautiful to photograph with its striking blue colour. It's possible to climb the adjacent building to get a great elevated view of the main monastery.

This is an interesting and well-cared for church close to Saint Sophia Cathedral. St. Michael's is also adjacent to a nice walking path that provides a great view of the Dnieper River as well as access to the city's funicular, which was built in 1905.

One of the key historic churches of Kyiv. Built in 12th century, was destroyed by the communists in 1934 and rebuilt in 1990th. Must see.

I braced the cold, wet and freezing rain to see this place. It was quite a challenge just to stay upright but we'll worth it. A beautiful building both inside and out. Take a moment to absorb the architecture and colours.

There is so much history to see here. The church is beautiful. The Altar is simply magnificent. The grounds are atop the hill and one can see the city below. This is located close to the Kyiv funicular and you can take a trip to the city below after your visit here.

Impressive! Big Orthodox Church that worth visiting. I end up in December, at 9AM and there was already a service done but some priests and Coire. It's like 3 church in one, a big one in the middle and 2 on sides. Inside you can also see the basement where the old altar used to be. Very nice

We visited on a walking tour of Kyiv and were totally awed by the beauty of this building. It's decor has so much gold and intricate carvings and just with the smells of bees wax candles burning by the altar is an experience in person that guide books can't fully explain. Truly worth a visit!
