Nice building but nothing special. If you are in the area you can make a visit but if not in the area not worth the time to go to.

The Golden Gate was the main gate in the 11th century fortifications of Kiev. It is nice to visit if you have the time and are in the area.

I've passed the Golden Gate on many occasions and always thought I'd pop in one day. I finally managed it and I'm glad I did. Not an Aladdin's Cave by any stretch of the imagination, but it's simple interior keep it more true to life and the few exhibits and information items do their job. An important place, especially in... More

Nice building but nothing extraordinary. If you won't miss anything if you miss this. If you are walking in Kiev and it comes in your way worth seeing it but do not travel to Kiev only for this.

More like a monument. Seems to have just risen up in the middle of the modern city but I suppose, it's a must see.

The Golden Gate is a neat historical site with a small park beside it and restaurants close. The gate itself is quite cool and it is worth paying the entry fee and seeing the inside of the gate - go up the stairs and there is a nice view of Kiev from the top floor. FYI - During winter you... More

Climb up Vladimirskaya from khresshchatyk and come to the half timbered Golden Gate. Unfortunately closed on our visit but some good photos to be had from outside. make sure you get the eyes on the trees. just past here on the left hand side is a steep hill that makes for good photos as well.
