This is a beautifully decorated opera house - relatively small. Performances are cheap (200 hryvnia for best tickets) but sung in eg Italian and surtitled in Russian, so english speakers should know the opera before they go !
They offering of plays is fantastic. You could go everyday for two weeks without repeating one. I went for Aida and had a great time. The artists are very good and the audience good as well.
