The most beautiful Kyiv`s chirch.

Created by architector Rustrelli, this chirch has no bells. It is believed that if any bell ring in this chirch, the river Dnipro will get out of its shores and flood Kyiv. Truth... read more

Created by architector Rustrelli, this chirch has no bells. It is believed that if any bell ring in this chirch, the river Dnipro will get out of its shores and flood Kyiv. Truth or not, but this baroque chirch is one of the most beautiful ortodox chirches in Ukraine that also provides picturesque view of Andrievsky Descent and Dnipro. It... More

Unfortunately St Andrews Church is surrounded with scaffold at the moment so no entry. as you walk down andriivski descent you get a reasonable view of the rear of the church.

Kiev is full of beautiful, ornate churches and St Andrews is one of the nicest. Very central, a short walk from the main square and Khreschatyk. Gorgeous facade complete with towers and domes. The inside is beautifully restored with icons and other paintings, beautiful frescoes and roof decoration. It is lovely and peaceful and really homely despite its size. It's... More

If you are walking on Andreeivskiy descend don't miss the St. Andrew's Church, you will see it from afar, as if hanging in the air. It's a great example of baroque architecture. though small inside, it's a very pretty sight on the outside, for sure worth a visit

If your in the area -so walking along Andriyivsky Uziz- then take a 20 minute detour and go to the church. The church is another example of Orthodox architecture and has been under renovation for a while so don't be alarmed. You can get beautiful skyline shots of the church/Kiev from the park across the road (by the museum).

While the Church has been under the renovation for a long time, it is still worth to be visited. Most probably, you will not be allowed to enter.

If you have the time in Kiev, then this is recommended. It has some great views of the city from this hill, plenty of places to look around at nearby. Lovely Orthodox architecture. And some interesting catacombs. Of course if you don't like history or churches, then maybe this isn't the place for you. At the very least you can... More

This church is another example of Kiev's Orthodox churches. It situated at the beginning of Andreevsky Descent (Izvoz). Not something spectacular.

A surprise for me to see this statuesque land mark. It oozes History hard to comprehend. Amazing architecture that humbles you. An integral piece of Ukraine history, definitely worth a look.

I honestly find there is nothing to see here, i don't get the hype. Kiev in general has some cool architecture all over the city, If you happen to be in the area, great, otherwise it is nothing special really. Looks like many others in the city
