If you would like to see and feel how orthodox monks leave in caves in the 12th century, this is the only place for this, Lavra monastery caves were refurbished. Last time I've been here 50 years ago but nothing changed.

Learn about the start of the city here,as the gate to kiev,albeit rebuilt to replicate the original. Plenty of restaurants and bars around,and a nice grass area

Very important place you cannot skip if you visit Kief. There are not much to see but it's city sign. You can enjoy the cafes and restaurants around the place..

From the other side of the Dnipro river, the Motherland Monument dominates the skyline. I wanted to see it close up. It's not well signposted, but it's well worth the effort. The monument is colossal and truly impressive. Beneath it you'll find the WW2 museum....More

After a long walk arrived at the Golden Gates of Kiev, these days used as a museum, decided not to go in to see the museum but the outside is already worth it
