We booked the two-day private tour with 4 people. The van that was used for transport was in top-condition. Guide had a good knowledge of the environment and take the necessary time for us. Advise: book the private tour, it's worth the difference! It was absolutely a "never forget" experience!

I had the pleasure of joining a Solo East excursion to the Exclusion Zone, to tour Chernobyl and the city of Pripyat. This tour was both haunting and a reminder of man's greatest nuclear power plant accident in modern history. I found the staff to be friendly and knowledgeable. Their passion for providing an educational and unique experience is ever... More

Well 30 years on, a little before I was born but what an experience it was to witness first hand the current and ongoing impact of the disaster of Chernobyl reactor 4. Unfortunately we couldn't get to see the reactor as the new protective covering was being moved into place, but that did not take away for the day at... More

I had a great experience with SoloEast Travel. Our guide did his best to show as much as it was possible on one day tour. Also he was attentive to everyone in the group so we could move on comfortably. We had to walk a lot but it was worth of it. I wouldn't skip a tiny thing we had... More

This tour was my solo purpose for visiting the Ukraine and I was not disappointed. I stayed in the hotel where the pick up was from so I just went downstairs and the bus was there. The tour guide (Dasha ?) was a native Ukrainian and was very knowledgeable. The bus was warm and comfortable and the drive out there... More

I'm one of those people that likes to do the odd peculiar thing by my self now and again, and if you are too then get yourself on this. The whole trip is a real eye opener, not just for learning about the disaster, bit also getting an insight into life behind the 'iron curtain'. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable... More

Day trip in Chernobyl and Pripyat was money well spent. You learn a lot about how the disaster was handled and what were and are the effects of the accident. In some places there was however little bit feeling of stageing, for example in the abandoned kindergarten there were dolls placed on beds. Hard to imagine that they were actually... More

Some of your Ukrainian friends may not think you should visit a site where people lost their lives. The disaster is also - not unreasonably - the only thing they want their amazing country to be known for. But I still wanted to visit and find out more about the immediate and longer-term response to the nuclear meltdown. Chernobyl is... More

I'd really been looking forward to this trip. Registration and briefing is very efficient at the meeting point. Konstantin, the guide, was a mine of information and he kept up a really informative commentary. Going into the zone is almost like crossing an international frontier and is rather exciting. There are a few rules and they're not to be taken lightly.... More

My husband and I did the full day tour of Chernobyl and Pripyat and had a fantastic time. Everything went smoothly and it truly felt like the chance of a lifetime. The tour was informative and more than enough time was given for photography. Serj was an amazing guide and answered any and all questions. I highly recommend using Solo... More
