Downtown Annapolis is a wonderful place to visit. A short walk to the Naval Academy, great shops and restaurants. People watching is amazing. Spring, summer or fall.

Have some drinks and food at nearby bar/grills, and then watch the boats. Very cool historical area.

It was raining, but we enjoyed the area and fed the ducks. Make sure to bring them food. Statues are great photo ops too.

Ego Alley is the center of Historic Annapolis. It is a narrow water way, where boats go up and down. Interesting to see some private yachts, but it is more the place to go to see the stores. If the weather is good, it is a great place to go to just be there.

Wow - the sheer expense of it all. It's abundantly clear that this is the 1% and we are all just spectators. The boats, the Botox bodies, the sheer opulence. Loads of fun to walk around reading the boat names and picking apart the 'small' yatchs from the big brothers. Does need a good sunny day though

Picturesque, plenty of boats, shops, & food - this is a great place to spend the day. Have been here a number of times & always see something new. Give yourself plenty of time to meander around! Oh, and make sure you have your camera!

Ego Alley isn't an alley but instead is the docking location fot boat visitors to Annapolis. For boaters there are slips for rent overnight or longer and for non boaters the wide sidewalks make it a good place to stroll, watch boats, stop to eat at numerous restaurants and fast food places within a block or less. There are public... More

To me this is a place where you take your time. Stroll along the water, look at the beautiful boats, enjoy the wildlife (ducks), shop at local small businesses along the way. You can even sit on the seawall to watch the sailboat. There are many restaurants, art galleries, tea shops, tourist information, harbour master and a maritime museum. This... More

My wife's father had a 48 ft. Norwegian Sail boat circa 1906. She grew up First Mate so she tried to educate me about the boats. Not the 14 foot fishing boat my father and I had when I grew up. It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed the walk and sights.
